What you’ll be doing:
Regulatory & Capital Reporting
- Prepare quarterly Solvency UK capital requirement calculations and regulatory balance sheets across group and regulated entities.
- Lead the production of Pillar III reports, including QRTs, SFCR, and RSR, ensuring compliance with PRA expectations.
- Respond to PRA queries, external auditor requests, and ad hoc regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities- Prepare and submit COREP, FINREP, and Bank of England statistical returns in line with regulatory deadlines.
- Maintain and enhance the ALMIS ALM system (or equivalent), ensuring data integrity and automation.
- Support Treasury with daily liquidity monitoring, capital planning, and portfolio analysis.
- Collaborate with Finance and Risk teams to support stress testing, forecasting, and management information.
- Lead improvement initiatives around data sourcing, control frameworks, and process automation.
- Contribute to key regulatory deliverables, including ICAAP, ILAAP, RRP, and Pillar 3 disclosures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits relating to regulatory reporting.

**Main Purpose of the Role:**
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regulatory Reporting SME to join the Regulatory Change function within Operations Technology. The main focus of the role is to perform the business analysis of the issues being raised to the team, determining and documenting the requirements for the teams developers. The role with also work with the key stakeholders to help to determine the priorities of the development required and ensuring that all changes do not negatively impact the 'completeness' and 'accuracy' of MUFG's trade & transaction reporting.
This includes checking and validating changes from a regulatory perspective and assisting with the UAT testing process and signoff.
The candidate would need strong regulatory reporting 'hands on' knowledge across a number of regulatory reporting regimes with experience of 'best practice' in governance and controls in a regulatory reporting environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
To support the Transaction Reporting Technology Team's Regulatory Reporting projects, providing analysis and determining requirements to resolve the issues raised to the team.
This would include:
+ Produce Business Requirements relating to the reporting of any trades and transactions in scope of SFTR regulation
+ Assist in the creation of business requirements and analysis to other G20 regulations such as MiFID and EMIR
+ Fully document scope of all related business and functional requirements, relating to each deliverable, and ensure these are understood by business and operational stakeholders
+ Ensure all changes that could impact regulatory reporting obligations follow the defined governance & control framework.
+ Work closely with Change, Operations, Compliance and other areas within Technology to ensure all Regulatory reporting deliverables are implemented accurately across all regimes and at the appropriate priority.
+ Implement 'best practices' in terms of validating current regulatory reporting requirements and ensure future reporting requirements and changes adhere to these 'best practices'.
+ Define and template appropriate tests strategies & test cases required to detect issues with changes developed by the team
+ Assist with the UAT process and testing of changes that have been developed by the team
+ Understanding the current regulatory reporting governance, controls and architecture in place at MUFG (Front to Back)
**Skills & Experience:**
Would expect the candidate to have:
+ Strong working understanding of transaction reporting requirements under SFTR regulations
+ Good experience in MiFID II (both Real time and T+1), EMIR, CFTC
+ Excellent knowledge of FpML and XML standards used for Transaction Reporting
+ Track record of delivering Transaction Reporting projects, including new initiatives or remediation projects
+ Strong product knowledge across Repo, Securities Lending.
+ As secondary, good product understanding of Equities, Bonds, ETD's and OTC derivatives
+ Knowledge of project lifecycle and demonstratable knowledge of participation in all aspects of UAT cycles
+ Effective at network building and forming relationships.
+ Ability to work effectively in matrix structure and to leverage the input / engagement of colleagues in other departments
+ Strong functional knowledge of operations and trade life cycles
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
+ Proficient with core Microsoft desktop software

**What you'll do**

+ Help drive implementation and perform monitoring and testing of firm's submission data and exceptions/rejections to develop appropriate controls to drive the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reporting obligations within Reg Ops.
+ Ensure ongoing compliance with the regulatory requirement.
+ Review, Design and Enhance key metrics and KPIs relevant to numerous regulations and assist with reporting to key stakeholders and senior management.
+ Key tasks to involve the monitoring of numerous regulatory processes within the Reporting team in Belfast, and to support the successful identification and remediation of failed controls (specifically but not limited to, the analysis of keys controls, UAT of future enhancements and regulatory reporting remediation tasks)
+ The individual will be responsible for working collaboratively with Reg Ops, Technology, and key business stakeholders to maintain a strong working relationship and a best-in-class approach to proactive exception management
+ Partnering with Reg Ops Change Management and QA to ensure adequate issue documentation, testing and resolution implementation. Ensure all required signoffs and audit trails are maintained and meet a standardised approach.
+ Extensive liaison with internal customers, notably Business Units, Information Technology, Other Reg Ops areas and Compliance Management, whilst fostering partnerships with key contacts with open and honest feedback.
**What we'll need from you**
+ Experience of compiling large volumes of data and analysing results.
+ Previous relevant experience in similar role.
+ Experience of exception-based controls and processing.
+ Experience of working within a control environment.
+ Experience of Regulatory reporting/Risk and Control (preferable).
+ Good Microsoft skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
+ Proactive, able to work on initiative and organize themselves well
+ Analytical and Numerate proven ability to research and identify large and complex issues
+ Demonstrates sound judgement and professionalism in decision making/problem solving, escalating to supervisor as appropriate
+ Real attention to detail
+ Knowledge and skills (general and technical) Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to perform under pressure Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Ability to function independently. Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
+ Project Management skills
+ Bachelor's/University degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
