Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the R&D team, you will work in the glasshouse, supporting a range of plant research and seed production activities, including:
- Sowing seeds, transplanting plantlets, tissue sampling, harvesting, and threshing
- Training in and performing cross-pollination techniques
- Conducting seed processing tasks such as automated seed counting, cleaning, labelling, and registration
- Identifying and implementing improvements to glasshouse processes and procedures
We are looking for someone with:
- A degree (or equivalent) in biological or agricultural sciences
- Practical experience working in a glasshouse or controlled environment
- Awareness of plant growth and care requirements
- Knowledge of horticultural techniques and basic glasshouse health & safety practices
