Are you a hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys juggling multiple process improvement projects & NPI?
Do you want to work for a growing specialist manufacturer who has produced a product which has revolutionised their industry and joining them when you can still influence their growth in terms of product engineering / manufacturing Engineering?
My client is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer or Senior Production Engineer to scale this manufacturing operations to meet global demand as the business frows. This is a varied and busy Senior Manufacturing Engineer or Senior Production Engineer role, where you could be supporting and improving across everything from NPI, continuous and process improvement, MRP optimising and implementation, and then day to day BAU production problem solving.
If this sounds like it’s right up your street, then the successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer or Senior Production Engineer will need the following experience and skills:
- A background in mechanical engineering discipline is required and the relevant practical experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-changing environment under pressure
- Skills, experience, and expertise in supporting new and existing production lines
- Adaptable to accept new changes in production engineering
- Ability to identify problems and resolve them quickly
- Results oriented and commercial awareness
- Strong communication skills to liaise with multiple departments including the engineering team.
- Ability to work with IT systems and possess a good level of PC literacy including Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with a MRP system is essential and experience with NAV or Factory Master is advantageous but not essential

- Continuous improvement of solutions, manufacturing instructions, quality - NCR's, health & safety, and efficiency - including understanding of best practise, new practise, and innovations.
Requirements:
- Experience of successfully working within an engineering focused environment which incorporated elements of:
- Experience in the following manufacturing processes: Fabrications, Assembly, Casting, Machining (not specifically only CNC)
- Ability to build good working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the business
- Competent with the use of MS Office
- Able to train others in continuous improvement and root cause techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality system
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Proven experience in leading projects
- Proven experience in leading lean and route cause analysis projects/training
Qualifications:
- HNC/HND in an engineering discipline
