Quality Engineer - Role and Responsibilities:
You will support the Quality Manager for maintaining and continuously improving quality strategies to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved and maintained. The main roles and responsibilities will include
* Ensure compliance to company procedures
* Process control and capability studies
* Liaise with other sites to ensure common systems are developed
* Ensure conformance to ISO9001 standard and other customer requirements
* Adopt / implement proactive actions to obtain internal improvements
* Champion use of approved tools and techniques to solve problems and develop processes
* Report corrective action for non conformances (internal/external)
* Analyse and report on cost of quality
* Ensure quality approval is obtained for suppliers and sub-contractors
* Ensure auditing is carried out on both product and process (internal/external)
* Ensure appropriate process control and capability studies are in place
* Development of skills based training for employees including SPC, auditing, problem solving and FMEA
* Carry out benchmarking exercises in pursuit of implementing quality best practice.

Quality Engineer - Skills and Abilities
Preferably of graduate calibre, you will require strong communication skills and have the ability to engender credibility and rapport at all levels of the organisation as well as the commitment, enthusiasm and passion to drive change. The successful candidate will have the following skills, experiences and attributes
* HNC/HND and/or Engineering Degree is essential
* 3 years previous Quality Engineer experience
* Previous change management experience
* Experience of working in the automotive industry is essential
* Experience with ISO9001 is essential
* Knowledge of lean techniques is essential ideally six sigma
* MRP knowledge essential
* Knowledge of SPC and FMEA
