  • Investigating and answering business critical questions. Analysing what the data tells us and then working collaboratively with cross-functional experts to develop and implement changes to optimise performance and drive growth
  • Working on a variety of interesting topics that will give you great exposure, understanding and influence on how to deliver profitable growth and manage a business. Work ranges from analysing trends in performance data and optimising sales strategy to estimating the value of investing in new innovative technologies
  • Communicating your insights and recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders to get buy-in including senior leadership
  • Leading and supporting the delivery of projects that improve how we utilise marketplace products and deliver growth
  • Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day
  • What we’re looking for
  • Ability to understand and solve complex problems by delivering data driven insights in an imperfect world. Able to take different approaches be that a quick assumptions based assessment in uncertainty situations or more in depth modelling utilising rich data sources
  • Driven to make change happen, willing to test and learn in uncertain environments
  • Comfortable working independently taking responsibility for your work whilst also collaborating with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders
  • Highly analytical with strong Excel skills and ideally SQL/ Tableau experience
  • Able to effectively draw out and communicate the ‘so what’ of your findings
  • Dependable, tenacious, and able to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines

    What the day will look like







    In this wide and varied role your responsibilities will include:




    Review data quality as well as reporting to ensure accuracy and resolve any issues. Provide regular progress updates and coordinate with senior colleagues to address any identified issues or risks to delivery


    Develop a detailed understanding of reporting tools, underlying portfolio data and risk databases, to identify any issues or impact on analysis or data cleansing processes in order to ensure the highest possible accuracy and completeness


    Support the analysis of relevant portfolio data to produce various internal and market-facing analysis and reporting


    Assist with the analysis of the risk portfolio to help produce underwriter presentations and support the development, ongoing management, renewal and placement of new products in the market


    Continuously find opportunities to improve business processes or operational efficiencies, to increase potential profitability, completeness and accuracy of risk/exposure data


    Support other initiatives as required for Aonu2019s global Broking and Structured Portfolio Solutions strategy, including Aon Client Treaty

    Reporting to the Head of UK Strategy, this role will play a key part in the continued success of PRA Group UK.

    Paramount to our success is our ability to effectively connect and engage with our customers, the successful candidate will focus on recommending, testing and deploying continuous strategy improvements across our omni channel eco-system that leads to improved financials and Customer Outcomes.

    These recommendations will be underpinned by solid analytics, detailed testing protocols and seamless execution. PRA Group UK is a data lead business so you will be responsible for synthesizing insights from different qualitative and quantitative sources of customer information and leading transformation projects aimed at business growth and improved Customer Journeys.

    It is imperative that you can communicate the analysis you have conducted in a compelling manner; the people you will need to communicate with could range from peers to senior stakeholders, including those who may not be familiar with the data or subject matter.

    While financial performance is always imperative within PRA Group, this role has a direct impact on the engagement with our most vulnerable customers. Therefore, you will need to have an awareness of how your work affects those customers and ensures that they are always treated fairly.

    The expectation of this role is that you will have the opportunity to support, and at times stand in for, the Head of UK Strategy to deliver Insights on Business performance for Monthly Reviews, Board Meetings and any other ad hoc analysis that the business requires.
