**How will you make an impact in this role?**
Commercial payment products for small and medium sized businesses, are an integral part of the business strategy for Card Services UK, and the SME market segment remains a strong opportunity for outstanding growth. To support this goal, we require additional Business Development Managers for our SME Sales Team in Brighton. This is a telephone-based role (no face-to-face client interaction), specifically, providing consultative dialogue to inform and close sales and increase American Express share in the SME segment. Candidates must have a proven track record of driving results in sales and / or B2B cold-calling environments. Strong communication skills are critical. Success will be measured by the ability to engage / motivate prospects, effective pipeline management, and spend generated by the Card Members signed.
Responsibilities:
+ The primary focus is contacting FD's, CFOs, CEOs and directors, or anyone who is a decision maker in the SME space targeting UK companies with revenues from £1m to £50m, in relation to their business spend.
+ Consultative sales approach to inform and close sales, whilst explaining the benefits of our business and corporate suite of products to unlock profitable spend volume
+ Make daily calls to prospects whilst being responsible for the entire sales cycle, building and managing own pipeline; from prospecting new companies via outbound activities, qualifying leads to opportunity level, closing sales, whilst delivering solutions tailored to each prospect.
+ Maintain high level of products and services knowledge including features and benefits, competition in the financial services space, and relevant developments in target industries.
+ Work with internal teams to provide all relevant information to support Clients application journey.
+ Achieve Premium products sales targets to steer bottom line growth.
+ Adherence to sales policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Previous sales experience, ideally in a B2B telesales environment.
+ Consultative selling experience and proven track-record of meeting and exceeding sales goals in a sales/cold calling environment.
+ Demonstrated track record of managing lead pipeline through complex sales cycles to drive the end to end sales process.
+ Self-driven and results oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on over delivering on targets with high levels of initiative, self motivation and time management.
+ Excellent oral and written communication, relationship building and problem solving abilities
+ Proven expertise identifying key decision makers within an organisation and articulating the benefits of a product or service, using objection handling skills.

+ Research, discover, and cultivate new markets and applications to enhance sales opportunities, whilst developing business relationships with key end users, consultants, developers to drive sustainable growth.
+ Promote Honeywell (BMS) products and services at conferences, meetings, and industry events, plus organizing workshops, webinars, and training sessions for key stakeholders.
+ Contribute to BMS strategy and implementation through research and business development efforts, collaborating with account managers and solution architects to secure sales opportunities, and support the marketing teams by participating in brand development by creating content for publication across our main communication channels.
+ You would be considered an industry specialist that can clearly communicate with a broad range of prospective clients, all with differing requirements, you would have the ability to support our internal and external customers but also challenge their thinking, with an ability to sell solutions.
+ Strong sales experience in Smart Building Technology or BMS, with a proven track record in developing business directly with key stakeholders.
+ Commercial and technical appreciation of BMS control systems, with a comprehensive knowledge of the HVAC controls market, applications and competitor technologies.
+ Able to build relationships, with a diverse range of clients. You will have excellent presentation and communication skills, strong team player, highly motivated, and self-reliant. With a valid driver's license.
+ Experience in preparing BMS designs, specifications, documentation for multiple segments, with a fucus on energy, sustainability and smart/IOT control solutions.
+ Solution selling expertise, capable of clearly highlighting the features, benefits, values that can be obtained from a well-designed BMS solution.
