Working in partnership with my market leading client, we are currently recruiting a pro-active and personable Quality Control Technician to join their dedicated and vibrant team in Corsham. This is a great opportunity where you will be able to make a positive impact to the company's continued growth.
Responsibilities:
- Quality control checks of incoming products
- Providing technical analysis
- Providing technical support to customers and colleagues
- Support the company's quality control systems
- Generating product documentation
- Handling technical request
- General administration
Person Specification:
- Qualified within a life science degree or equivalent
- Experience within quality control or analysis would be desirable
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated attitude
- Able to work on your own initiative

Quality Control Inspector - FTC (6 months)
Business Need / Purpose of Role:
Responsible for performing various inspection tasks within the Company under the instruction of the Inspection Team Leader whilst working with your colleagues in the inspection team to ensure conformance to Company standards, specifications, and drawings.
Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities
But not limited to:
Primary Tasks
- The ability to cover the inspection of products and processes relating to all aspects of quality control with the Company.
- To ensure the conformance of products and processes to relevant specifications and standards and complete and maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner according to the Company requirements.
- Timely Inspections
- Dimensional Reports (where applicable)
- To raise non-conformance reports where any items or processes do not conform to standards or specifications/drawings.
- Using recognised quality control measuring techniques / equipment where manufacturing processes are tightly controlled to ensure the products meet agreed standards.
- Responsible for ensuring that good housekeeping is maintained within all areas.
- To support the promotion of continuous improvement processes within the inspection team for the benefit of the Company (under the supervision of the Inspection Team Leader and / or UK QHSE Lead).
- Ensure all quality control measuring equipment is in calibration when used.
- Provide status updates if / when required efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner.
- Perform any other duty as reasonably requested by the Inspection Lead and / or UK QHSE Lead to ensure the objectives of Inspection Team and the expectations of the customer are met.

- Goods Receiving Notes
- Non-conformance reports
- Work instructions / procedures
- Raw materials certification

Education and/or Experience:
- Time Server Apprentice
- Engineering qualification is essential, preferably ONC, HNC or equivalent.
- Qualified in DPI, MPI, UT is desirable.
- Experience in PMI, Ferrite & Hardness Testing is desirable.
- Work to high standards of quality, within a strong safety culture and a good working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 is desirable.
- Fully experienced with all inspection / measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, thread gauges and hardness checking equipment.
- Fully experienced in reading and understanding Engineering drawings (component and assembly).
- Experience of using a Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (manual & CNC) and / or Inspection Arm is desirable.
- Conversant with materials certification.
