Job Description
stackspell labs, Inc. is a venture-backed startup (strategically in stealth) building the AI-native abstraction layer for enterprise software.
We’re reimagining how complex enterprise software systems/platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Workday, Dynamics, etc.) are extended, integrated, configured, and operated by AI agents. Think Lovable meets Terraform for enterprise software.
Our core product is a framework purpose-built for AI coding agents, enabling them to express intent, while our platform transpiles, orchestrates, and governs it across the enterprise stack. This abstraction layer unifies and standardizes the primitives of major enterprise platforms, unlocking agentic workflows for transformation and software delivery. It empowers Corporate IT teams to design, configure, and operate secure, compliant, production-grade solutions with the speed and elegance of modern product engineering; finally bridging the gap between enterprise governance and AI-native velocity.
You’ll own the end-to-end development of Stackspell’s core platform: designing, coding, deploying, and hardening the systems that make AI-native enterprise engineering possible.
Your work blends full-stack development, platform architecture, and applied AI , turning research concepts into production-grade infrastructure. You’ll be hands-on across the stack, from TypeScript and React to orchestration, distributed systems, and AI agent tooling, ensuring everything you build is secure, observable, and enterprise-ready. This role demands both breadth and depth ; the curiosity of a researcher and the precision of a production engineer.
You thrive at the intersection of AI, systems thinking, and developer experience. You’re hands-on, detail-obsessed, and comfortable operating in ambiguity. You care about precision, resilience, and developer experience; not just writing code, but building the platform foundations others can build upon. You understand how modern stacks fit together, from AI pipelines to monorepos, and you enjoy architecting systems that are both powerful and tasteful.
Your Hard Skills:
TypeScript (React / Express) · RxJS · Tailwind · Docker · Nx / ArgoCD / GitOps · Private Registries
TSC · TSX · pnpm / yarn · ESLint · Build Pipeline Hygiene
Azure / AWS · IaC (Terraform / Pulumi)
Enterprise Architecture · Multitenancy · Zero-Trust · FGA · Event-Driven · Caching · Workflows
TypeORM · Drizzle · RabbitMQ · Redis · Distributed Systems · Vercel AI SDK · Prompt Engineering · Agentic Systems · LLM Toolchains · Embeddings · Retrieval · AST / Codegen
Applied AI / Systems Research (Bonus)
Location: London (in-person) strongly preferred during the early phase to build tightly as a founding team. Remote possible for exceptional candidates, but proximity gives the best chance to shape the product early.
- Competitive compensation + meaningful equity
- Early-stage ownership & impact on product and company direction
- Premium private health insurance (vision & dental included)
- Fully covered housing if based in London
- Wellness budget + gym access
- Weekly home service (cleaning, laundry, groceries)
- Two fully covered offsites per year
