Key Responsibilities:

Help to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies
Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities

Collaborate with staff, parents/carers, and external professionals to support pupil development
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience supporting children with special educational needs (in a school or similar setting)
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA or SEN training) are desirable but not essential if you have strong experience and a willingness to learn.

Do you have a passion for supporting children with Learning Difficulties, including Autism, and Speech, Language & Communication needs?
This special needs school in Godalming are looking for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support children aged 4-17 with mild to severe learning difficulties.
The Special Needs Teaching Assistant role is an excellent way to get your 'foot in the door', providing the opportunity to gain education and training, whilst working closely and networking with other teams of professionals, gaining relevant experience, and expanding your knowledge and skillset.
