Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for van driving postal workers based out of St. Helens. Driving licence essential for this position.
Location: St Helens
Start Date: Immediately
Hourly Rate: 13.37 per hour
About the role
You'll start your day in the local delivery office, sorting the mail for your route, before taking out your van to complete your round. You'll be given a hand-held computer device to capture customer signatures for deliveries. The hand-held computer will also act as your routing system putting your round in the most economical route, telling you which house to go to next.
You will be self-motivated, you'll also be as happy working alone as well as working as part of a team and getting to know the different people on your round. You'll have a strong sense of community and the idea of doing a job that involves flexible working patterns will appeal to you.
We deliver parcels come rain or shine, so we're looking for people who like being outdoors whatever the weather, you'll also be someone who likes the idea of doing a job that will help you keep fit.
Driving licence requirements:
A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), with no more than six penalty points is essential, but a clean licence is preferred. Please note you will be required to show this at assessment

- Lead and manage the Functional Skills/Maths delivery to a provision for learners.
- Deliver high-quality Functional Skills Classes adapting to various learning styles and needs to suit small groups of learners.
- Ensure inclusive teaching strategies are embedded across the team.
- Promote a positive learning environment that supports engagement, wellbeing, and progress.
- Develop and implement effective schemes of work and curriculum planning tailored to individual learner needs.
- Provide support of safeguarding measures.

- Track learner progress, outcomes, and achievement rates against key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Level 2 or above qualification in Maths.
- Proven experience delivering Functional Skills – supporting learners with ALN’s.

Experience is preferred but not essential for this role. You must hold a full driving licence for this position .
You will be provided with your own vehicle and will support our Regional Operations Director in the Liverpool and Warrington area.
The role will be to support the Regional Director in the day to day running of the business, training and working with teams of valeters, along with liaising with account management.
