RG SetSquare is working with a national maintenance contractor who would like to appoint a Multi Skilled Electrician to join their direct work force. The role is available due to workload and organic growth. The company self deliver their maintenance and as a result would like to hire a qualified Electrician with experience of working in live commercial buildings, responsible for the below:
- Planned, preventative and responsive maintenance
The types of work involve commercial electrical repairs, maintenance and light installation. This could involve Lighting - lamp changes, ballast changes, Emergency light testing, Electrical fault-finding, minor electrical works - new sockets, new lights, new circuits, fuses, transformers, circuit breakers and control panel maintenance. Other general maintenance as required.
The main site on this contract is in Homerton and there are 2 other sites within close proximity and all sites provide health care to the general public.
Previous experience working in this environment or other secure environments like prisons, hospitals or similar would be useful but all other commercial experience will be considered.
There is a company van provided, to use as a pool van for when the successful person is completing an on-call week. As such, a full UK driving license is essential and to enable company insurance, we cannot accept anymore than 6 pts on a driving license.
On call is approx. 1 in 5-6 weeks.
Overtime paid for a minimum of 2 hours per call out at time and a half or double time if a Sunday or Bank Holiday.
Core working hours Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
A DBS is a requirement for this role. A current in date version is a bonus, but not really critical, as we will do one regardless.
