We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Stock Checker to join our team located at our Hams Hall depot.
**Shift Pattern:** Monday to Friday 12:00pm - 8:00pm
**Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Compiling and maintaining records of physical and virtual product inventories via daily cycle counting, claims management, and accounts administration
+ Managing data related to ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping products for/from the facility
+ Ordering shipping materials, supplies, and equipment to maintain inventory levels throughout the facility
+ Keeping inventory, purchasing, shipping, and other records up to date
+ Collecting data from purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports
+ Determining stock supply levels and identifying the need for replenishment
+ Investigating damages, inventory adjustments, and shrink issues.
+ Ensuring the correct product ID is used, conducting regular cycle counts, and assisting with physical inventories
+ Verifying stock numbers, pallet IDs, authorised substitutes, and other listed information using catalogues, manuals, product lists, and similar references to ensure accuracy in shipping orders
+ Reviewing files to identify unused items and recommending disposal of excess or damaged products
+ Operating warehouse material handling equipment to move products, ensuring compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures
**What are we looking for?**
+ Has previous experience in stock control.
+ Previous experience of warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Connect & SAP AS400 system is desirable. Although a willingness to learn is a must as these systems can be taught.
+ Is computer literate, with a confident ability to use Microsoft Office packages.
+ Has excellent organisation and administration skills.
+ Is a confident communicator, able to work well within a team.
+ Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to work in Cold environment. We will of course provide full Personal Protective Equipment to keep you safe and warm.
+ Have your own transport to commute to site each day.

About The Team:

The Replenishment and Production team are responsible for ingredient, inventory, and box preparation. As a Stock Movement Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring the correct ingredient and inventory is available timeously to all out active production lines between Kitting and Assembly. You will supervise a team of Replenishment Operatives ensuring everything is prepared and managed to support our Production team.   • Production line set up and clear-down activities
  • Replenishment of stock on lines - refilling appropriate line positions with correct stock in the correct positions at start of shift and for each changeover
  • Allocating Replenishment staff onto lines
  • Carry out regular checks of stock levels to ensure sufficient stock of all required ingredients is available
  • Check and challenge the quality of ingredients
  • Work closely with the Team Leaders and Replenishes to ensure lines are well stocked with correct Sku's
  • Adherence to basic Food safety standards and understanding FEFO Requirements of specific Sku variations
  • Auditing Health and Safety and promoting safe working practices inline with SOP's
  • Working closely with QC Teams to understand root cause of issues and coach teams accordingly.
  • Proactively ensure no shortages and prepare next line for production team
  • Train and develop Replenishment Operatives promoting an excellence culture

**The Role**

The Stock and Inventory Manager reports to the Regional Stock and Inventory Manager. Leads a small team of Stock Controllers. Provides accurate and timely information to the Regional Stock Manager , the General Manager and Management teams to assist and facilitate the successful delivery of shared user services. Uses systems and other tools to effectively manage all stock and Inventory.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Provides key information on all inventory related issues - develops and manages reports for internal and external use
+ Support and develops customer requirements for all stock-related challenges
+ Supports operational decision-making by providing insight and analysis
+ Accountable for the delivery of all stock integrity and the management of related KPIs across all contracts
+ Develops, with the operations team, best practice and standardisation of all control processes
+ Responsible for key control measures, including the integrity of the end user client's stock to ensure customer service levels are maintained, SLAs are met and that the WMS is accurate at all times
+ Builds strong working relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure first class operational delivery, with a focus on stock integrity and planning accuracy
+ Serves as the lead point of contact for all stock related performance issues
+ Delivers a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement by utilising the most appropriate methodology on a consistent basis
+ Enables audit governance to ensure adherence to specific regulatory body standards and client standards as required from time to time
+ Ability to create detailed and trend analysis that identify route cause and resolution through Root Cause and Corrective Action principles
+ Designs and implements action plans that increase quality, inventory accuracy and quality of service to meet customer requirements and with the ability to upscale and adapt to increased customer demand.

About The Role

Are you passionate about the construction industry and looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team? Join SMT GB as a Used Parts Sales & Stock Co-ordinator! In this engaging role, you will be at the heart of our operations, managing the sales of used parts while ensuring our stock levels are optimized and organized. Your customer-centric approach and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional service and support to our valued clients.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive sales of used parts by actively engaging with customers, building strong relationships, and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Oversee stock management processes to ensure accurate inventory levels, coordinating with the team to minimize discrepancies.
  • Generate quotes, process orders, and handle invoicing, all while maintaining a high level of organisation and accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely delivery of parts to customers.
  • Keep up with market trends and product knowledge to provide informed recommendations to customers.
  • Prepare reports on sales performance and stock levels to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the development of promotional campaigns across remarketing social media channels to boost the visibility and appeal of our used parts.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

To thrive in this role, we are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience in sales, preferably within the construction equipment or heavy machinery sector.
  • A strong understanding of inventory management and stock control processes.
  • Outstanding communication skills that enable you to connect effectively with customers and team members alike.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A customer-focused mindset, always seeking to enhance the customer experience.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with used parts market trends and demands.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
