As the Buyer , you will report directly to the Purchasing Manager and will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials to meet project time lines, both planned and reactive. In your new role: Liaise with store personnel and internal teams to fulfil purchasing requirements across operational areas. Monitor and manage pricing agreements with key suppliers. Reporting to Senior Supply Chain Leader, working within Naval business unit as a successful Strategic Sourcing Specialist; you are responsible for full wing to wing Sourcing process for the assigned commodities and projects. This includes Direct and some Indirect (Tooling, systems)
**Responsibilities** ;
+ Knowledgeable in formulating 'Commodity Strategy' based on historical data, future project's demand, and other key indicators
+ Lead the execution of the local sourcing strategy in line with Global commodity strategy guidance; deliver a competitive advantage by driving the strategic supplier initiatives, selection, development, and consolidation to ensure optimal business performance.
+ Execute across the purchase base, with full accountability for meeting deflation (savings), usage, cash and preferred supplier targets.
+ Carry out in depth cost breakdown analysis and negotiate lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) within Local & Global supply base
+ Knowledgeable in supplier Contract Negotiation working with Legal teams
