We have an opportunity for a Senior Surface Design Engineer to join the team at our Silverstone facility. In this role, you will work within a group of highly creative and skilled design engineers to deliver high-quality surface geometry models to aid the aerodynamic development of the team’s race car. - Deliver high-quality and complex surface geometry models for CFD, Wind Tunnel, and full-size release
- Work closely with Aerodynamicists to understand the definition and scope of all new surfaces, including modeling and construction approach
- Liaise with model designers to ensure efficient implementation of aerodynamic projects
- Support with the release of aero surface geometry to the full-size car design office
- Liaise with full-size car designers to create high-quality surface geometry for full-size release
- Mentor junior members of the group and support pushing forward methodologies and modeling improvements
- Support the implementation of standard design practices

What do you need to bring to the team?
- A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering / Design / Motorsport) or equivalent
- Extensive experience in with 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of surface quality, model layout and robustness, as well as a high level of understanding of surfacing and parametric modeling techniques
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors
- Ability to line manage / lead teams effectively
- Clear and concise communication, verbally and written, including with key stakeholders and directors
- Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
