Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills in preparing for surgical procedures.
- Prepares instruments, supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient.
- Incorporates personal integrity and surgical conscience into all aspects of performance.
- Collaborates with the registered nurse and perioperative team in order to implement the care plan for the patient’s procedure.
- Collaborates in a positive manner with central sterilization staff
- Ensures environmental safety for patients and personnel by wearing appropriate surgical attire and personal protective equipment, anticipating the needs of the patient and the perioperative team and maintaining aseptic technique.
- Actively participates in universal protocol and time out processes according to policy.
- Initiates proper procedure for sponge, needle and instrument counts.
- Ensures proper care and handling of specimens.
- Initiates proper procedure for care and handling of medications on the sterile field.
- Ensures proper care, labelling and handling of equipment and instrumentation.
- Holds retractors or instruments, sponges or suctions operative site, cuts suture material, connects drains to suction apparatus and applies dressing material as directed by the surgeon
- Cleans and prepares instruments for decontamination and sterilization.
- Assists other members of team with cleaning of surgical suite
- Assists in prepping room for the next patient
- Demonstrates proficient computer skills with Meditech and ORM to print preference cards/schedules as needed.
- Serves as a preceptor/mentor to new operating room staff.
- Attends staff meetings, inservices and continuing education opportunities to augment learning.
- Maintains patient’s rights to privacy and confidentiality.
Education/Experience Required:
- Possesses organizational and planning skills.
- Proficient computer skills – Meditech, ORM
- Ability to concentrate and prioritize in distracting environment.
- Ability to work at an efficient and quick pace.
- Ability to work in surgical services environment.
- Graduate of an accredited program for Surgical Technologists.
- Certified Operating Room Technician.
- BLS Certification
This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.

Importantly, they should be motivated by making a difference to patient healthcare outcomes across the UK & Ireland.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Provide general administrative support, which includes preparing communications, maintaining schedules and diaries for the Business Unit Director
+ Lead on meeting agendas, follow-up on minutes, and action items
+ Perform normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining data and files, arranging meetings and conferences, booking meeting rooms, and setting up IT
+ Gather, compile, and report on information relevant to the manager's assignment
+ Support the Leadership Team of the Surgical OU UK&I, including some basic marketing support, administering inter-department or inter-unit programs or processes, coordinating travel, and submitting expenses
+ Create PO's and manage P2P tasks for the Operating Unit
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ 2+ years of administrative or event management experience
+ Fluency in English both verbal and written
+ Strong communication and organizational skills and an ability to juggle multiple tasks
+ Positive mindset with a can-do attitude
+ Able and willing to travel to join internal and external meetings where applicable
+ Advanced user of MS Office 365 - Including but not limited to Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word. An understanding of AI a bonus
Someone capable of exercising independent judgment and discretion as well as demonstrating complex problem-solving skills and working well under pressure in a dynamic environment will have an advantage. We are looking for someone flexible and agile with good analytical and organizational skills, strong teamwork and collaboration skills and an ability to balance multiple time-sensitive tasks. Being an advanced user in Virtual Meetings would be an advantage.

A renowned private medical clinic based on Harley Street urgently requires a Clinic Coordinator / Receptionist to meet and greet patients and coordinate diaries for clinicians and nurses. Housed in the most beautiful offices, the Clinic Coordinator / Receptionist role pays up to £30,000 plus benefits. We are looking for a minimum of 2 years of experience in customer-facing roles. This is a permanent role.
Hours: 42 hours a week, including a 1-hour lunch break. Shifts are typically 6:30-15:00, 08:00-16:30, 9:00-17:30, 9:30-18:00 and 12:00-20:30.
The candidates for the Clinic Coordinator/Receptionist position need to be self-motivated and eager to learn, as well as able to take direct feedback on board that is constructive but not personal, given the busy nature of the clinic.
Clinic Coordinator / Receptionist duties:
You will need to provide all the information that the client requires to enjoy their visit to the clinic.
Meet and greet patients and ensure all the patients’ needs are met while visiting the practice
Liaising with Surgeons, Optometrists, Nurses and Patient Care Coordinators to ensure the smooth running of the patient's journey within the clinic
Managing and coordinating multiple complex diaries of 8 Optometrists and 4 Surgeons.
Initial point of contact and gatekeeping for all patients, daily vendors, visiting clinicians and contractors
Taking payments and processing refunds on several databases
Gathering feedback from patients via questionnaires, testimonials and electronic methods
Keeping clinic areas clean and tidy and of an excellent standard
To complete all relevant administration, including scanning patient information, booking appointments, preparing templates, updating patient databases and making sure legal documents are submitted correctly
