The purpose of the role will be to play a key role in the seamless implementation of a new finance system, ensuring the integration of the system with other internal dependent systems. Your day-to-day activities will include system configuration; data reconciliation and data cleansing; the development of financial reports; system security and controls; documentation; user acceptance testing, training; stakeholder engagement and liaison; and ensuring regulatory compliance in the finished solution.
Must Have
- A background in financial accountancy having worked on previous accountancy systems procurements/implementations; or having worked in finance before moving into systems consultancy (example systems include Workday, Sage, Xero, UNIT4, Sun Accounts, Infor, D365 F&O, OneAdvanced, OpenAccounts, e5, SAP, Oracle Cloud, TechnologyOne, Civica Financials, or similar).
- Accountancy certification, full or part qualified, in CIMA, ACCA, AAT, or similar.

The purpose of the role will be to play a key role in the seamless implementation of a new finance system, ensuring the integration of the system with other internal dependent systems. Your day-to-day activities will include system configuration; data reconciliation and data cleansing; the development of financial reports; system security and controls; documentation; user acceptance testing, training; stakeholder engagement and liaison; and ensuring regulatory compliance in the finished solution.
Must Have
- A background in financial accountancy having worked on previous accountancy systems procurements/implementations; or having worked in finance before moving into systems consultancy (example systems include Workday, Sage, Xero, UNIT4, Sun Accounts, Infor, D365 F&O, OneAdvanced, OpenAccounts, e5, SAP, Oracle Cloud, TechnologyOne, Civica Financials, or similar).
- Accountancy certification, full or part qualified, in CIMA, ACCA, AAT, or similar.
- Business Intelligence and reporting tools
Nice to Have
- SQL Scripting
- Power BI
- Previous experience delivering in system development life cycles and methodologies (ideally Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.)

Duties:
- The Central Systems Integration Team are accountable for the integration of all customer features and functions into our customer products.
- The team ensures that seamless cross-functional working happens to execute all phases of feature, systems and software delivery - creation of design requirements and specifications, requirements exchange and agreement, network design finalisation and test case execution, to introduce features and software in the target electrical architecture(s) in a planned and controlled way.
- Within the CSI team, the System Integration Lead Engineer is accountable for the maturation and delivery of customer features into current and future Vehicle programmes to sign-off level in line with programme gateways.
- Working across the business functions, all cross-functional delivery steps to deliver the features must be understood and communicated to domains as time-based goals to co-ordinate their integration into vehicles and test assets.
- Working with the delivery domains in Agile methodology, System Integration Lead Engineer ensures that all elements of feature and system implementation happen in a timely manner, spotting any threats that arise, removing roadblocks and resolving any cross-functional disconnects to allow the overall plan to succeed.
- To support transparency of status to the wider business, the System Integration Lead Engineer is responsible for maintaining the Mainline Integration Plan (MIP) within the JIRA toolset, co-ordinating inputs and producing the weekly consolidated Integration Report.
- Together these provide all stakeholders with full view of plans for feature and function availability and maturity, so that functionality for vehicles and test properties is continually understood.
- The progress of the Integration Report is presented out via bi-weekly Showcases to company leadership and senior stakeholders which the System Integration Lead Engineer supports.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage bring up of feature and systems on test assets.
- Support the Technical Group Lead in delivery of integrated SW to Vehicle Programmes
- Participates and lead cross-functional teams to solve complex integration problems (timing and technical)
Skills:
- Thorough understanding of the Systems Design Life Cycle - system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design reviews, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance;
- Excellent technical project management skills, with ability to deliver complex mechatronic systems at a whole vehicle integration level.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaboratively influence delivery teams across the engineering function;
- Understanding and experience of using CANalyser, Wireshark, Diagnostic Tools etc
Education:
- Preferably degree level
- Experience of engineering product delivery using project management techniques;
- Experience of programme and project delivery processes under Agile methodology and JIRA;

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, talented, and experienced Systems Engineer to join GE Vernova Power Conversion's Lead Engineering team.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lead Systems Integration Engineer to spearhead the integration of rotating electrical machines and their control systems within a major UK Naval project, while leading a dedicated integration team.
This role requires a strong leadership capability, technical expertise in an engineering discipline, and the ability to derive top-level requirements down to sub-system components, ensuring seamless interface management and system integration.
The Lead Systems Integration Engineer will report directly to the Systems Lead Engineering Manager.
**Team Leadership and Management:**
+ Lead and manage a team of system engineers focused on the integration of a rotating electrical machine solution and its associated control systems.
+ Foster a collaborative environment, promoting skill development and effective teamwork.
**Integration of a Rotating Electrical Machine Solution:**
+ Oversee the integration of rotating electrical machinery with its ancillary equipment and associated control systems within a Naval platform.
+ Develop and implement strategies to ensure optimal system performance and compatibility.
**Interface Management:**
Plan and progress all engineering integration related activities for the project, inclusive of communication to team members.
+ Manage and coordinate interfaces between different subsystems and components, ensuring smooth integration and interoperability.

**Requirements Derivation:**
+ Derive top-level requirements and translate them into detailed specifications for sub-system components and manage their traceability.

+ Apply engineering principles to address integration challenges related to rotating machines and their control systems.
+ Coordinate system analysis and support verification and validation activities.
**Collaboration and Communication:**

+ Communicate technical progress and findings to internal teams and external stakeholders effectively.
**Documentation and Reporting:**
+ Maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, V&V results, and system configurations.
+ Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements in all activities.
**Continuous Improvement:**
+ Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing integration processes and systems.
+ Monitor, control and manage engineering budgets and change control system.
+ Lead and manage project integration technical risks.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

+ Proficient with software simulation & design tools, MATLAB, Simulink essential. eTAP desirable.
+ Extensive experience in systems integration, particularly in rotating electrical machines and control systems within the naval or maritime industry.
