We are seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join our team in London, reporting to our Global Head of Tax. In this position, you will oversee all European tax matters for our organization, including compliance, strategic planning, and advising internal stakeholders.
How you will make an impact:
- Offering technical tax support across a global principal trading firm engaged in trading various financial products, physical assets, and crypto-assets
- Providing strategic tax advice on business operations and financing measures
- Managing tax audits, preparing necessary documentation, and liaising with tax authorities
- Monitoring changes in tax legislation
- Overseeing tax reporting and compliance for European entities with respect to corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, financial transaction taxes, and other local taxes
- Developing and implementing processes and tools to enhance tax compliance and efficiency
What you will bring to the team:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision
- Background in public accounting or financial services
- Proven leadership skills with experience in leading and developing a team of tax professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex tax matters to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly in the United Kingdom
Bonus Points:
- A desire to explore new business areas and aspects of tax
- Comfort with complex operations and data flows including understanding general ledger systems
- Previous experience in the proprietary trading or hedge fund industry
- Experience in international tax planning
