HMP Parc Prison is a Category B men's prison located in Bridgend, Wales. The prison accommodates individuals who have been convicted of various offenses requiring secure custody and rehabilitation. We are seeking a qualified teacher with a PGDE in Mathematics or equivalent, coupled with significant experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, including experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity. Responsibilities:
  • Teach mathematics to secondary school students (Key Stages 3 & 4).
  • Develop and implement engaging mathematics curriculum.
  • Lead and mentor mathematics department staff.
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback.
  • Foster a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to school-wide educational initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • PGDE in Mathematics or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Significant secondary school teaching experience.
  • Proven leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Strong understanding of the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
