Job Description:

The role of Theatrical QC Specialist involves supporting our global Digital Cinema team, focusing on QC of Digital Cinema Packages in formats including 2D, 3D, HFR, HDR, immersive audio, subtitles, and accessibility. Responsibilities include scheduling work, ensuring production standards, testing tools and applications, data entry, and collaboration with various departments. The candidate should have QC experience, understanding of technical content specifications, and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided. Working hours are a 7-day fortnight night shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform theatrical QC of Digital Cinema Packages (DCP)
  • Create and complete QC reports with defect descriptions and troubleshooting details
  • Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of QC rejections
  • Attend client QC sessions as required
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
  • Technical skills and knowledge of industry tools and technologies in QC and digital media
  • Basic understanding of image, audio, and subtitle digital file formats
  • Familiarity with Digital Cinema equipment is a plus
  • Knowledge of aspect ratios, codecs, color space, compression, etc., is a plus
  • Experience with DCP and IMF mastering processes is a plus
