Our Local Authority client are recruiting a locum Occupational Therapist for their Adult Social Care Service in Bury.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for individuals receiving packages of care to ensure high-quality occupational therapy interventions.
  • Support people to live safely and independently within their homes.
  • Facilitate timely and safe hospital discharges through effective care planning.
  • Apply expertise in single-handed care, moving and handling techniques, and the provision of equipment and home adaptations.

Requirements:

We work with a number of units, including Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Adult Mental Health, and Older Adult Mental Health. We provide experienced Support Workers like yourself to PICU, acute and rehabilitation wards.

Please only apply if you have at least 12 months UK Acute Hospital Experience, applicants with less will not be considered.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Compliment and provide support to the qualified nurses
  • Work as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team to support implementation of the treatments and therapy as per the service users’ care plans
