Role Overview:
Our client, an award-winning charity, is looking for agency staff to work across their Winter surge team. This is a scheme ran alongside the local authority to ensure rough sleepers have somewhere safe to sleep during the winter months. You will be working across three properties in Bristol city centre to ensure support is provided to vulnerable individuals.
The Role:
- You will be working with clients who are homeless / rough sleeping and have been placed into temporary/emergency accommodation by the Bristol city council.
- You will manage a caseload of clients across 3 properties
- You will provide one to one support to clients with complex needs, to include homelessness, substance misuse & mixed mental health
- Create risk assessments and safety plans, making sure the client remains safe in their accommodation.
- Accessing adult social care where needed and clients who live in the community looking at move-on plans
- Attend multi-agency meetings.
- Accessing all support networks and especially health services, applying for benefits, and working closely with the Bristol city council around move on
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs such as homelessness, substance misuse, and mental health challenges.
- An understanding of the barriers and challenges facing individuals who have been homeless.
- The ideal candidate will already hold an in-date DBS check within the last 12 months or would be happy to get BRC to process a new one on your behalf ASAP!
