Job Description

Hush is an ambitious and distinctive fashion brand, with plans to double the business over the next few years. Founded 21 years ago, we are now established as one of the UK’s leading online fashion retailers. We employ around 130 employees across head office and retail, creating and selling a beautiful range of women’s clothing and accessories characterised by effortlessness, simplicity and a laidback sense of style. Despite the challenges to the retail industry, Hush has continued grow – and our company culture still reflects our entrepreneurial roots and relaxed aesthetic. We love hard-working and talented people with a can-do attitude and a passion for what they do.

About the role

We’re looking for a commercially minded Merchandiser (Trading) to join our team at Hush. In this role, you’ll take ownership of planning and trading our product ranges — ensuring the right product is available at the right time, in the right place, and in the right quantities. You’ll partner closely with Buying, Design, and E-commerce to deliver a compelling, well-balanced range that meets customer demand while maximising sales and margin. This is a highly visible role where your insight, analytical skills, and commercial instinct will directly shape the success of our collections.

What you’ll do

  • As our Merchandiser, you’ll be at the heart of our product strategy – analysing performance, planning ranges, and ensuring we’re delivering the right product mix for our customers. You’ll:
  • Build balanced option plans, ensuring range and pricing align with brand values.
  • Partner closely with Buying to identify risks and opportunities, ensuring strong trade decisions.
  • Manage line buys, stock forecasts, and WSSI to hit agreed KPIs.
  • Collaborate with E-commerce to optimise online trading and offers.
  • Own markdown strategy and recommend promotional activities to drive sales and margin.
  • Ensure critical path dates are met while maintaining agility in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of what appeals to the Hush customer.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with confidence using data to drive decisions.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to influence across teams.
  • A collaborative and proactive mindset with great attention to detail.
  • Calm under pressure, with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to pivot when needed
  • Clear, considered decision-making and excellent planning and prioritisation
