What the apprenticeship looks like;
0-12 months: In your first year, you'll work with a mentor to learn the skills needed to become a top Property Services Technician. You'll join our Internal Customer Services Apprenticeship Scheme to develop essential people skills. After completing the apprenticeship and obtaining your driving licence, you will be given the chance to be promoted to a full Technician role.
12-36 months: After completing the Customer Service Apprenticeship and obtaining your driving licence, you'll work as a full Technician. Once you meet our standards and can work independently, you'll be assessed by an external body. If you pass, you'll earn an NVQ in joinery or plastering, based on business needs and your preference.
The role of an Apprentice Technician
As an Apprentice Technician, you’ll be servicing our customers across the Midlands area. Travel further afield may also be required, subject to workload.
What will you be doing?
- You will strip and replace timber floors, door frames, architraves, windows and doors
- You will be required for the removal of plaster, prior to installing damp proof courses
- You will be required to carry out timber treatments such as woodworm sprays and fungal decay work
- There may be an element of patch plastering involved in this role
- Our specialist technicians also carry out basement waterproofing work, and structural defects repairs, such as wall tie installation and crack-stitching

Derby Audi has an exciting opportunity available for an Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join their talented team.
As a Sytner Apprentice Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing motor vehicles to the high standards of the Audi brand. You will be working in a busy Audi workshop during your apprenticeship and have the opportunity to work on the latest cars, engines and diagnostic equipment, ultimately leading to the ability to undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on vehicles once fully qualified.
Your apprenticeship training will take place over a 3 year period and will compromise of classroom and workshop based learning, this includes off-the-job training at the Audi Academy. You will also receive the support from a mentor who will oversee the work-based learning programme.
Sytner Apprentice Technicians work a variety of flexible patterns which can typically include weekends to ensure we provide our customers with the highest possible levels of service.

Summary
An As-Laid Technician in civil engineering is responsible for documenting and verifying the actual construction details of infrastructure projects. This role involves creating accurate records of the completed works, ensuring they match the planned designs and specifications. As an apprentice, you will learn the key skills and methodologies required to become an Aslaid Technician.
Specific Responsibilities/Tasks
As an Apprentice, you will work with the AsLaid team to support with the following tasks:
- Identify and complete daily visits by monitoring and utilising job packs received from the client, ensure works are completing within a timely manner and within the Streetworks SLAs. li>Attend jobs and capture cable route by methods shown in the company directive, ensuring completion as per the Company’s Streetworks standards, and within the Streetworks SLA’s.
- Ensure full completion of Aslaid log sheets within the Works Management System within a timely manner and within the Streetworks SLAs.
- Ensure cover and support is provided across the wider team across various areas, in times of absence, as and when required.
- Ensure full and accurate submission of Aslaid Records to our client within 5 days of the installation of works.
- Ensure assigned company vehicles are kept clean, tidy and presentable.
Qualifications & Training
- Full clean driving licence
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- GCSE’s Grade 9-4 or equivalent.
