We are looking for apprentices to work in our Southampton depot.
Not only will you receive fully funded qualifications you will get real-world, hands-on experience of working in the Transport Refrigeration engineering environment.
As an Apprentice Mobile Transport Refrigeration Technician, you will be expected to develop the high level of skill and knowledge required to carry out maintenance, repairs, and modifications to a variety of refrigeration equipment and trucks, safely, on time and within budget.
A driving license is desirable, although not essential to start your apprenticeship. However, a Mobile Transport Refrigeration Technician is required to have a full driving license to complete the duties required of them.
The Apprenticeship
The format of the training is block release to Liverpool (usually a week every month/6 weeks) with OTJ mentoring and additional training from our in-house training team at our Centre of Excellence in Tamworth.
The apprenticeship is a 3 year course at level 3. When you pass the EPA, you will be awarded your apprenticeship certificate. The EPA will be provided by Institute for the Motoring Industry (IMI).

You will work towards developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required through a range of workshop training, classroom sessions and on the job learning. Not only will you develop your technical skills you will also have the opportunity to develop the behaviours needed to set the foundation for your future career.
Some of your responsibilities as an Apprentice Mobile Transport Refrigeration Technician will include:
- Attending and engaging with training, including exams and 1-2-1 meetings with your tutors/assessors.
- Managing your time effectively to complete all coursework, assignments and exams required to achieve the apprenticeship.
- Reflecting on your own practice and experiences and take any feedback onboard.
- Scheduled refrigeration unit maintenance and servicing.
- Unscheduled refrigeration unit maintenance including defect rectification to refrigeration systems and components.
- Liaising with the shop floor to assess damage and how practical repair schemes can be designed.

As a Transport Administrator based in our Chesterfield Fusion office, you’ll be responsible for:
Administrative support to the Transport team, supporting with requests or queries
Checking the warehouse for orders, ensuring paperwork for drivers is correct, updated and ready, supporting the Operations Manager with raising any defects on any vehicles
Chasing customers daily for cable drums to retrieve these where possible
Answering the phone to the sales function
Checking transport reports, and checking customer pods
Raising PO’s on our finance system and any other ad hoc admin duties for the operational team
This role is working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. We operate between the hours of 6.00am - 8.00pm.

About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Transport Tracker to join our client's logistics team.
