About this Senior Planner opportunity
Having worked in town planning, as a Senior Planner you will work in close collaboration with team members and Directors to progress a variety of planning projects through to successful outcomes. This includes:
- Developing planning strategies and submissions for minor developments.
- Supporting colleagues on complex and major schemes.
- Advising on planning conditions and appeals.
- Promoting sites through Local Plans and monitoring progress.
- Providing general planning advice and handling written representations and enforcement appeals.
- Supporting business development through networking and contributing to the company’s online presence.
This position offers the potential to develop into a Principal Town Planner , providing a clear pathway for individuals with aspirations to further their career.
About You
Essential:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in public or private sector planning.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Word.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage workload under pressure.
- Ability to manage fee budgets and maintain confidentiality.
- A collaborative team player with high personal integrity.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Working towards RTPI Chartered Membership.
Desirable:
- Access to a car for site visits.
- Experience with 5-year land supply assessments.
- Proficiency in Excel.
