Job Description

We are looking for a product-minded and user-obsessed individual who embodies the spirit of a founder. This role is for someone who wants to blend deep User Experience (UX) expertise with the commercial and strategic drive of product management to shape the future of workforce management. This role is ideal for a UX specialist who wants to transition into a product management role and is ready for a new level of ownership and impact.

You will be at the heart of Coople's strategic transformation, working with a highly experienced team to build our brand-new workforce planning platform from the ground up. You will tackle a wide range of complex business challenges, from perfecting the user experience to solving problems in compliance, monetisation, and operational efficiency . You will partner closely with our Head of Design, acting as a crucial bridge between deep user research and visual design execution. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a rapid, iterative product discovery cycle —moving from idea to prototype to user feedback in days, not weeks.

This is a unique opportunity to help redefine our product and company. You will report to and work closely with the Head of Product to define your team’s roadmap and execute our vision of becoming an indispensable partner for our clients' entire workforce.

Skills

  • A founder's mindset . You demonstrate unwavering ownership, a relentless drive to move your product forward, and operate with a high sense of urgency.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas with clarity and confidence.
  • Experience in or a very strong interest in a product management role . We accept applications if you do not yet have formal product management experience but are passionate about moving your career in this direction.
  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design or User Research, with deep expertise in user research methodologies, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
  • A hungry and rapid learner . You are intrinsically motivated to go above and beyond to close any knowledge gaps quickly, understanding that the speed of learning is a competitive advantage.
  • Strong data skills . You have SQL skills to query and analyze data yourself. You have experience building dashboards to track metrics or a strong desire to learn this quickly. Bonus points if you have experience with Databricks .
  • AI-native mindset . You are passionate about leveraging AI to enhance productivity and create innovative user experiences. Experience with or a strong desire to master AI-assisted rapid prototyping tools like Lovable and v0.dev is essential.
  • Bias for action and rapid iteration . You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to move from an idea to a testable prototype to gather feedback within 24 hours , rejecting long, drawn-out planning cycles.
  • A strong user focus and empathy . You must be comfortable reaching out to users and conducting interviews every single week; this is non-negotiable.
  • Availability and willingness to travel between our core locations in the UK, Switzerland, and Poland.
  • Perfect fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of German is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities are focused on three core areas: leading product discovery, ensuring effective delivery, and fostering strong collaboration across the company.

Product Discovery & Strategy

  • Lead User & Problem Discovery : Your primary focus is to become the undisputed expert on our users. You will spend the majority of your time talking to customers, conducting research, and digging through data to deeply understand their needs and behaviours.
  • Define Product Strategy : Define and evangelise the product vision and roadmap for your team, ensuring alignment with our company strategy to become an end-to-end workforce planning platform.
  • Drive Rapid Prototyping & Validation : Lead the product discovery process with a bias for action. Rapidly create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes to effectively communicate and validate solutions with users and stakeholders.

Product Delivery & Execution

  • Empower the Engineering Team : Partner closely with your team’s Technical Lead and developers as their key stakeholder. You will be responsible for translating user needs into clear, actionable user stories and specifications.
  • Ensure Decisive Execution : Work with your technical partners to make pragmatic trade-offs, unblock the team swiftly, and ensure a continuous flow of high-quality delivery.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with Design : Work closely with the Head of Design to translate deep user insights into world-class design solutions and mentor the wider team on UX principles.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Go-to-Market : Partner with our Sales and Product Marketing teams to gather market insights, orchestrate high-impact feature launches, and ensure the entire organisation is ready and aligned.
  • Build a High-Performance Culture : Help us build a culture of trust and psychological safety, where speed, innovation, and direct feedback thrive.

Interview Process

Our interview process is designed to be thorough and collaborative, giving both of us a clear picture of what it’s like to work together.

  1. Prescreening : An initial call with our internal recruiter to discuss your background, motivations, and the role in more detail.
  2. Hiring Manager Conversation : A conversation with our Head of Product to dive deeper into your experience, mindset, and our product vision.
  3. Offline Assignment : We will provide you with a product/UX challenge related to our new workforce planning strategy. You will be asked to develop a concept or prototype and prepare a presentation on your solution, your thought process, and how you would quickly validate your core assumptions.
  4. Final Round : A final session lasting approximately 3 hours. When possible, this will be held on-site at one of our offices. This session will include one-on-one meetings with heads of different departments and your presentation of the assignment, followed by a Q&A session.
  5. Fast Feedback : We respect your time and will provide feedback very quickly after the final round.
