Our client, a leading fashion retailer, is seeking a creative and experienced Visual Merchandising Manager to oversee the aesthetic presentation of their stores in and around Reading, Berkshire, UK . This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of retail trends, and the ability to translate brand identity into compelling in-store experiences. You will be responsible for developing and implementing visual merchandising strategies that enhance product appeal, drive sales, and create an engaging shopping environment for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will work closely with store teams, marketing, and buying departments to ensure brand consistency and maximize the visual impact of displays, window presentations, and store layouts.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute innovative visual merchandising plans and concepts aligned with brand guidelines and seasonal campaigns.
  • Create compelling window displays and in-store merchandising layouts that attract customers and drive sales.
  • Collaborate with store managers and staff to ensure consistent execution of visual merchandising standards across all designated locations.
  • Train and guide store teams on visual merchandising best practices, product placement, and display techniques.
  • Monitor inventory levels and plan product flow to support visual merchandising initiatives.
  • Stay current with fashion trends, competitor activities, and visual merchandising innovations.
  • Manage the budget for visual merchandising materials and resources.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of visual merchandising strategies and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure all displays are maintained to a high standard of presentation.
  • Contribute to store design and refurbishment projects from a visual perspective.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser, preferably in a retail management or supervisory role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative visual merchandising concepts and execution.
  • Excellent understanding of retail design principles, colour theory, and spatial planning.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Ability to sketch concepts and create detailed visual plans.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • A passion for fashion, retail, and creating impactful customer experiences.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly to store locations within the designated region.
