Job Description
RVT Group is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Dispatch Operative to become an integral part of our logistics team at our Dartford Operations hub (relocating to Aylesford December 2025). This role primarily focuses on the preparation of our hire equipment for dispatch, including the fitting of relevant accessories and part-building of kits to customer specifications. The successful candidate will ensure all items are ready for delivery in excellent condition and meet operational and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare hire equipment for dispatch, checking condition, cleanliness, and functionality.
- Fit accessories and components to main units, according to job specifications.
- Part-build kits where applicable, ensuring all components are included and secured.
- Accurately pick and pack hire orders based on dispatch notes/system-generated lists.
- Perform quality checks on outgoing items to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose.
- Liaise with the hire desk, drivers & warehouse staff to ensure timely/accurate dispatch.
- Label equipment and complete relevant paperwork; complete system entries.
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse and working environment.
- Assist in general warehouse duties, including goods-in and stock rotation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dispatch or a warehouse environment. (E)
- Forklift truck certification is preferred, but training can be provided. (D)
- Supervisory experience at the level of supervisor/team leader is an advantage. (D)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. (E)
- To work efficiently both independently and as part of a team ensuring targets are met.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. (E)
- A basic understanding of inventory management systems is an advantage. (E)
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items as necessary. (E)
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in warehouse operations. (E)
