Our client is a global logistics and distribution business based in Birtley for over 17 years. They supply various high-tech products and machinery parts to well known manufacturers including the automotive industry. THE ROLE

The role is a Warehouse Operative.

• You will carry out duties such as picking and packing machine parts, moving product around the warehouse. Tasks will include:
• You will carry out handballing tasks and move product around manually
• You will support your colleagues and work as part of a medium sized team
• You will use hand held scanners to book in/book out various different items and complete paperwork
• Carry out any other reasonable task as requested by your line leader or team manager

THE PERSON

• You will demonstrate a can-do attitude with a positive attitude to work. You must be available to work 5 days per week on a rotational basis at all times and be flexible to support the business during peak periods with overtime available. Other specifications include:
• You will have experience of working in a warehouse environment
• You will have good levels of stamina to carry out physical tasks

We are currently seeking 2 Warehouse Operatives to start as soon as possible in Billingham for a short-term re-bagging project.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday

• Preferred: 8:00am – 4:30pm

• Flexibility possible between 7:00am – 5:00pm , as long as both operatives work the same hours.

Role Overview:
You will be working in a safe, designated area to:

• Open boxes from pallets

• Empty contents into robust plastic bags

• Repack items into original boxes

• Seal using a tape gun

All tools and safety equipment will be provided.

* Must be able to work on a 4-day on, 4-day off rotation

Warehouse Operative

We are recruiting for full time warehouse operative roles to work at the Savers Warehouse in Darlington, DL3 0PS. Previous experience as a warehouse operative is not required as full training will be provided. If you are looking for ongoing work, all year round then the warehouse operative role is for you!

We are offering PM shifts from Monday to Friday, 5 days a week.

Requirements of the warehouse operative:

• A good level of English communication
• No experience is required as full training is provided

Details of the warehouse operative role:

• AM Shift Time - 06:00-14:00

• AM/PM pay rate 12.40 per hour

• Overtime is paid after 45 hours worked
