Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and put away deliveries accurately
- Carry out stock rotation, date checks, and inventory counts
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders using warehouse systems and scanners
- Assist cash & carry customers with billing and service
- Load vans and support dispatch operations
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and pallet trucks (training provided if needed)
- Handle heavy lifting and materials safely (up to 50 lbs / 25 kg)
- Support shipping & receiving operations, ensuring accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing goods
- Maintain organisation in the warehouse, ensuring correct storage and safe stacking of products
- Conduct basic equipment checks and report any faults or hazards
- Follow food safety, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to improve workflow and efficiency
Requirements

**Your Role Accountabilities.**
+ Receive, check, and accept deliveries to our warehouse, helping to keep records of incoming orders.
+ Maintain relevant paperwork as orders are dispatched to stores and customers.
+ Ensure stock is put away and replenished in accordance with company guidelines. This could include using machinery to put orders away (at height).
+ Order picking for each of our businesses. This could include picking orders for stores, or individual customer orders for our ecommerce business.
+ Packing orders for our online store. This includes making sure the correct products have been selected and sent, adding personalization (where needed), and wrapping purchases to a high standard.
+ Feeding back any issues with orders or stock levels to colleagues and our Management Team, to make sure a quality service is provided to our customers.
+ Keeping our warehouse clean, tidy, and organized, and shrinkage to a minimum level.
+ Checking machinery and vehicles and reporting any defects or issues as soon as possible.
+ Delivering stock to our London, Leavesden sites.
**Qualifications & Experience.**
+ Full manual driving licence
+ Able to work at heights of up to 10m, (yearly safety training will include needing to abseil from that height).
+ This role is physically demanding and requires that you be able to lift, carry and move boxes.
+ Effective, confident communicator.
+ Commercial acumen, e.g. understanding of peak seasons.
+ Works as part of a team with a flexible approach.
+ Able to prioritise work and use own initiative.
+ IT skills.
**Working Pattern.**
+ 40-hour working week, in a shift pattern from Monday to Sunday, with varying start and finish times.
+ You will be required to work 1 in every 4 weekends, however this is subject to change during peak times.
+ No night work required.
Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement, where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.

The Responsibilities of the Warehouse Assistant / Driver
Strong FLT experience - Reach & Counterbalance Forklifts are used within our warehouse.
Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
Ensure all orders are received, accurately and in accordance with requirements.
This also includes liaising with third party delivery companies, together with picking of orders and loading of all vehicles.
Working with the Management Team to ensure that matters which may affect any physical aspect of the Warehouse building are being dealt with. I.e. if you can see a problem to inform Management or deal with accordingly.
Where required, deal with all matters pertaining to the quality control aspects within the warehouse environment.
Ensure that all procedures are followed relating to Health and Safety within the Warehouse Environment. Monitoring and ensuring these procedures are adhered to and informing Management accordingly.
Working closely with the Warehouse Management team to ensure the business objectives are met, working alongside the Service and Distribution departments. This is required due to the high level of reliance that each of these positions relates to the other and therefore it is important that a close working relationship is maintained throughout.
At times, when the business requires, you will also have to load and drive deliveries to site / customer helping the master technician in installing and assembling the furniture.
The Warehouse Assistant / Driver will have the following Attributes:
· Possess a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
· High standard of verbal and written communication in English.
· Good organisational skills, methodical, able to manage own work load in a fast paced environment, as well as being a team player, capable to work with peers towards achieving the goals set by the business / management.
· Able to step up, when the situation requires, show initiative and a can do attitude.
· Flexibility in being able to attend other BoConcept warehouse locations when required.
· Ability to lift heavy objects.
· A 'Reach / Counterbalance' Forklift Truck Licence would be preferred. We can renew licences if required, but experience is vital.
