Stantec have a new opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Water Sector team. This role can be based from either of our Manchester or Warrington office with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home working. Our offices are located a few minutes from the train station and are located for public transport links.
Stantec are an industry leading consultancy within the Water Sector. We are involved in a huge variety of projects across the sector - including those relating to water resources, wastewater networks and treatment, water treatment and supply, flood mitigation and other specialist areas. As a Project Manager you will work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects at every stage of the project lifecycle. You will be building close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to cost, and to a high level of quality. Excellent client service is a key expectation of our Project Managers.
You will be responsible for a portfolio of water sector projects and will need to proactive in identifying and mitigating potential risks across these projects. You will also work towards ensuring project success by managing project budgets and resources effectively.
As a member of the Project Management community at Stantec you will be supported to keep developing your career. All of our Project Managers are enrolled ona programme of discipline-specific training and we can also provide support for those looking to gain further external qualifications (such as the APM's PMQ).

**About You**
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have prior experience of project management - ideally working as a Project Manager within relevant sectors such as the water, energy or other utility/infrastructure sectors.
You will most likely have an industry recognised project management qualification such as the APM's Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or similar.
You will have experience of managing multiple deadlines and be able to demonstrate where you have been able to build successful working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will have a track record of successful project management and be able to demonstrate where you have been proactive around risk management and mitigation.
Finally, you will embody our passion for innovation and client service, with ambitions to tackle a range of challenges as the team looks to continue its growth within the sector.

**About you**

Previous experience working within the water industry along with Design and Construction knowledge is preferred.

_Here's what we're looking for:_
+ Experience in managing the technical delivery of water and wastewater engineering projects with multi-disciplinary knowledge, ideally including treatment schemes and/or pipeline design. You will also have experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams.
+ Relevant experience in a similar role for a water company, consultancy or contractor.
+ Hands on experience, designing complex wastewater treatment solutions.
+ A degree or equivalent in a related engineering subject (e.g. civil, electrical, mechanical) and/or equivalent experience.

We're seeking someone with a proven track record in delivering water and defence projects in a client-facing capacity. You'll be a natural leader, effective communicator, and committed to both project success and the development of others.
_Here's what we'd like you to bring:_
+ An honours or master's degree (or equivalent qualification), or demonstrable equivalent experience.
+ A strong background in the UK water sector, ideally with experience in regulated frameworks.
+ Experience working in the defence sector and understanding its complexities.
+ Knowledge of or training in NEC3 contracts.
+ Familiarity with Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations, or equivalent experience.

Stantec have a new opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Water Sector team. This role can be based from either of our Manchester or Warrington office with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home working. Our offices are located a few minutes from the train station and are located for public transport links.
Stantec are an industry leading consultancy within the Water Sector. We are involved in a huge variety of projects across the sector - including those relating to water resources, wastewater networks and treatment, water treatment and supply, flood mitigation and other specialist areas. As a Project Manager you will work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects at every stage of the project lifecycle. You will be building close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to cost, and to a high level of quality. Excellent client service is a key expectation of our Project Managers.
You will be responsible for a portfolio of water sector projects and will need to proactive in identifying and mitigating potential risks across these projects. You will also work towards ensuring project success by managing project budgets and resources effectively.
As a member of the Project Management community at Stantec you will be supported to keep developing your career. All of our Project Managers are enrolled ona programme of discipline-specific training and we can also provide support for those looking to gain further external qualifications (such as the APM's PMQ).

**About You**

**Your Team**
You will be part of our wider Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM), made up of over 400 professionals across the UK and sit within our Civil Infrastructure and Utilities Group.
