- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Install, commission, and test new wind turbine equipment.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Complete detailed reports on maintenance activities, findings, and parts used.
- Collaborate with site teams and remote engineering support to resolve technical issues.
- Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety procedures, including working at height.
- Maintain accurate records of turbine performance and maintenance history.
- Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance strategies and procedures.
- Liaise with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure availability of parts and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Technical qualification (e.g., NVQ, HNC/HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in maintaining complex machinery, preferably in an industrial, marine, or energy sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work offshore in challenging conditions and at heights.
- Valid GWO Basic Safety Training certifications (or willingness to obtain them).
- Good physical fitness and ability to pass a medical examination.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- A proactive and safety-conscious attitude.
- Adaptability and willingness to work flexible hours and travel.
