As Senior Consultant you will support a challenging portfolio of projects and digitally enabled services, provide qualitative and quantitative research and analysis. You will be expected to lead on task completion, handling client and stakeholder queries and deliver on projects.
Responsibilities- Lead carbon footprint assessments, climate risk analyses, and resilience planning for public and private sector clients.
- Develop and implement net-zero strategies, including setting science-based targets and emissions reduction plans.
- Conduct climate risk and vulnerability assessments in line with frameworks such as TCFD (Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures).
- Advise clients on climate adaptation and mitigation strategies, integrating best practices in nature-based solutions and circular economy principles.
- Stay up to date with evolving climate policies, regulations, and frameworks (e.g., UK Net Zero Strategy, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, CDP).
- Manage projects, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure delivery of high-quality reports and insights.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Sustainability, Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in carbon management, climate risk analysis, or sustainability consulting.
- Strong knowledge of GHG accounting, climate risk frameworks (TCFD, IPCC), and corporate sustainability reporting (CDP, SBTi, GRESB, etc.).
- Experience in conducting climate resilience assessments and advising on adaptation strategies.
- Familiarity with carbon footprinting tools (e.g. SimaPro, GaBi, OneClick LCA, CRREM).
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills (Excel, Power BI, GIS experience is a plus).
- Understanding of financial and regulatory climate disclosure requirements.
- Chartered status with IEMA, CIWEM, CIEEM, or similar professional bodies
- Experience working with financial institutions on ESG risk assessments.
- Knowledge of climate scenario modelling tools (e.g., UKCP18, XDI, or similar).
- Understanding of nature-based solutions and biodiversity net gain (BNG).

The RoleAs an EHS Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting multinational clients with the development, implementation, and ongoing management of global EHS programmes. Your work will span:

- Comfortable interfacing with clients and contributing to high‑impact solutions
- Enthusiastic about fostering a positive, inclusive, and professional working culture
- Willing to travel to client sites and offices as required (approx. 25%)
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an EHS consulting or industry‑based role
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (or relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications)
- Ergonomics/DSE qualification and experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of UK and international EHS legislation, guidance, and compliance standards
- Membership of a relevant professional body is preferred

The RoleThis is a varied and influential position combining technical leadership, project delivery and people development.
You will play a key role in supporting the leadership of the London sustainability team, sharing line management responsibilities and helping to mentor and accelerate the development of junior consultants. You will act as a technical expert in whole‑life carbon, providing insight, analysis and innovative solutions to reduce carbon across the full project lifecycle, from design and construction through to operation and end of life.
Working closely with multidisciplinary design teams, you will help embed sustainability into projects at every stage, supporting clients to meet ambitious carbon targets and evolving regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Leading and delivering large, complex sustainability projects for high‑profile clients
- Managing project teams, workloads and resourcing requirements
- Supporting fee proposals, invoicing and commercial delivery
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
- Leading client and design team workshops, communicating complex information clearly and confidently
- Undertaking detailed modelling and analysis, including embodied carbon, circular economy, building performance, operational energy, energy generation and overheating
- Leading the development of sustainability and energy strategies
- Delivering environmental assessments such as BREEAM, WELL and HQM from early design through to completion
- Supporting the delivery of net‑zero whole‑life carbon outcomes across projects
- Contributing to research, innovation and thought leadership initiatives to keep the team at the forefront of the industry
- Engaging with wider industry activity, including research, guidance development and knowledge sharing
You will be an experienced sustainability consultant with strong technical expertise, leadership capability and a passion for delivering meaningful environmental outcomes.
You will bring detailed knowledge in a selection of the following areas, with the expectation that you will continue to broaden your expertise over time:
- Energy strategies and low‑carbon design
- Building Regulations Part L assessments using tools such as Elmhurst and IES
- NABERS UK modelling
- In‑use energy modelling and performance assessment
- Dynamic thermal modelling and overheating analysis
- BREEAM and HQM assessments
- Bespoke sustainability frameworks and charters
- Health and wellbeing strategies and certification
- Planning documentation including sustainability statements, energy statements, whole‑life carbon reports and circular economy statements
- Net‑zero carbon strategies and embodied carbon assessment
- Experience working within sustainability consultancy and being ready for a new challenge at the leading edge of the field
- A relevant degree and a strong technical foundation in sustainability or a related discipline
- Confidence leading sustainability workshops with clients and design teams
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented approach

- Manage ESG due diligence assignments aligned with IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, World Bank EHS Guidelines, and local regulations.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting and senior stakeholder presentations.
