Position Overview
We are currently seeking an Ecotoxicologist for our Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice in Harrogate (UK), Nottingham (UK), London (UK), Dublin (IE), Mannheim (DE) or Basel (SW) offices; homeworking will also be considered.
You will be responsible for- Conducting environmental risk assessments for plant protection products as required by EU legislation (Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009)
- Providing advice to clients on plant protection product ecotoxicology/environmental risk assessment issues
- Summarising and interpreting data, including study reports and published literature in the area of ecotoxicology, drawing sound scientific and regulatory conclusions
- Data gap analysis, developing testing strategies and monitoring ecotoxicology studies
- Providing verbal and/or written inputs to multi-disciplinary project teams and contributing to providing high level strategic advice to clients and high-quality outputs
- MSc. degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (e.g. biology, environmental science)
- Experience of completing environmental risk assessments under EU plant protection product legislation (e.g. Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009). Applicants must have relevant experience in this field.

Job DescriptionThe Role
This role involves the delivery of sustainability-related projects on behalf of our customers (primarily stakeholders in the leather, textile, and associated materials supply chain). Typically, these projects centre around Eurofins BLC’s core Sustainable Services, including (but not limited to), supply chain mapping, traceability systems, data interpretation, research, and report writing.
The role is initially a technical position, to understand in-depth Eurofins BLC’s Sustainable Services, with a longer‑term view to developing into a hybrid technical‑commercial role, encompassing sales and business development of sustainability consultancy products.
Main Duties- To build supply chain maps using ESRI Mapping Software, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
- To research and analyse information and data on sustainability‑focused topics.
- To produce well‑written and referenced reports on research findings.
- To deliver presentations relating to sustainability topics/subjects (online and/or in‑person).
- To support the consultancy function by liaising directly with clients and other project stakeholders, providing highly effective consultative support.
- To work cross‑functionally and collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver project work.
- To provide support to Eurofins BLC’s Sustainability Business Development by
- Project planning, generating promotional materials, and developing internal processes.
- Innovating and developing/evolving our existing products and services to be more “value‑added” for our customers.
- To support in the business development and sales of Eurofins BLC sustainability services and assume responsibility as a business lead for all products and services, including but not limited to supply chain traceability, waste management, lifecycle analysis, recyclability, and circularity.

Eurofins PSS is recruiting for an analytical Scientist with a range of experiences from recent Graduates to Experienced Scientists to provide on site analytical support as a Eurofins Managed PSS Scientist, based at the Bristol Myers Squibb Moreton facility in the Wirral.
This position is a fully employed Analytical Scientist by Eurofins PSS, supporting services delivered to our client on their site.
This role is not employment with Bristol Myers Squibb and Bristol Myers Squibb does not manage the recruitment or employment terms for this position.
As an Analytical Scientist your role will be to perform method development and proof of concept method validation analysis across a range of pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates and drug substances, produce accurate results within an acceptable timeframe.
Job Responsibilities that you will be covering:
- You will perform routine and non routine analysis of pharmaceutical products using a range of analytical techniques (primarily HPLC, GC and MS).
- You will support technology transfers for new products entering the team, ensuring smooth implementation and alignment with client procedures.
- You will review analytical data for GMP compliance and initiate or follow up on OOS results and action limits when required.
- You will document data in accordance with current client policies and procedures and prepare/approve results for tests in which you are trained and deemed competent.
- You will maintain productivity through agreed metrics (e.g. test numbers, cycle times) and support audits, method revisions, and testing of QC samples.
- You will liaise with client representatives, provide updates to designated personnel, support continuous improvement initiatives, and work flexibly in line with business needs.
