Exciting opportunities are available to join the Endoscopy team at Torbay Hospital.
The department has recently opened its new £5m Endoscopy Suite and dedicated training facility.

The Endoscopy unit at Torbay Hospital has been recognised nationally for its high standards of patient care, recognised as an exemplar site for Endoscopy care, training and Bowel Cancer Screening.
The Endoscopy Unit delivers an extended service to include evenings and weekends.
Main duties of the job- To be able to work as part of the decontamination team and the wider Endoscopy Unit team in a collaborative and respectful wa
- To assist in the decontamination process for use in direct patient care, in accordance with policies and procedure
- Working with soiled items returned from clinical procedures for Decontamination and Sterilisatio
- Book clinical items in and out of the Endoscopy Unit
- To adhere to the Trust's policy on confidentialit
- To be aware and update knowledge of hospital policies and procedures from the Trusts intrane
- To be responsible for own knowledge of the Trust's and Departmental Health & Safety Policy and Risk Register

Our Facilities Department is looking for dedicated and motivated individuals to join our Facilities Teams, supporting our new ways of working focused on Cleaning Operations.
As a Facilities Assistant, you will complete cleaning training in line with the National Cleaning Standards and carry out all tasks outlined in the daily cleaning schedules. You'll play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
5 x 30 hour contracts
We're looking for people who can demonstrate:
Good literacy and numeracy -- able to follow written instructions and complete required documentation
Willingness to train -- prepared to undertake all required cleaning and compliance training
Teamwork and independence -- able to work well with others or confidently on your own
Physical capability -- able to carry out daily physical tasks as part of the role
Experience working with nursing teams and the public -- comfortable working in a busy healthcare environment
Main duties of the jobMaintain cleaning standards -- ensure all designated areas meet required standards and report any equipment faults or repair needs.
Clean surfaces and fixtures -- remove dust, dirt and debris from floors, walls, ceilings, fixtures, fittings, doors, ledges, glass and sanitary areas using the correct colour‑coded methods and equipment (e.g., mopping units, vacuum cleaners).
Manage waste safely -- empty and clean waste bins, replace colour‑coded liners in line with the Trust Waste Policy, and secure and dispose of waste bags appropriately.
Replenish supplies -- restock toilet rolls, soap and other consumables.
Clean blinds, windows and curtains -- clean internal windows and blinds and change curtains when required.
Store equipment correctly -- clean and correctly store all equipment and materials after use.
Report equipment issues -- identify and report faults or repair needs promptly.
Secure areas -- lock/unlock doors and windows and switch lights on/off as required.
Attend mandatory training -- complete all essential training and periodic updates.
Follow Health & Safety regulations -- work in line with Trust Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
