Your New Role.

This MCR Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operation of the Master Control Room (MCR), ensuring a reliable and efficient service within a 24/7 broadcast environment. The post supports high‑profile live output by coordinating people, processes and technology, while working closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain consistently high operational standards. Your Role Accountabilities.

• Write and collate detailed reports relating to MCR issues or outages.
• Undertake other duties as required to support MCR operations.
• Provide day‑to‑day responsibility for all staff on shift, with line management of 10+ direct reports.

Qualifications & Experience .

• Previous supervisory or managerial experience with direct line management, including recruitment, development and team culture.
• Experience in staff training and in creating, maintaining and updating SOPs.
• Thorough understanding of current or comparable MCR systems, equipment and broadcast delivery models.
• Clear insight into project impacts with the ability to identify mitigating solutions.
• Expertise in troubleshooting technical issues and developing effective workarounds.
• Operational knowledge of MCR technology and workflows, including SDI and IP video and audio routing.
• Fundamental understanding of IT networking infrastructure.
• Experience with broadcast control systems, ideally BNCS (packaging and direct routing) and Nevion Video IPath.
• Experience working with a range of video standards, including UHD.
• Understanding of video and audio timing principles.
• Operational knowledge of tools used to diagnose video and audio issues, including waveform monitors and audio monitoring units.
• Operational knowledge of professional satellite contribution equipment such as dish position controllers, spectrum analysers, transport stream analysers, receivers and decoders.
• Familiarity with contribution standards including J2K, H264 and HEVC.
• Understanding of the operational requirements of Ingest, Playout and Production facilities.
• Experience maintaining and creating operational processes and procedures in collaboration with managers and other teams.

The MCR operates 24/7/365. This role is shift‑based, working a 40‑hour week that includes weekends and public holidays.

In depth understanding of garment construction, fit, grading, fabrics, testing and performance standards for both Adults and Childrenswear.
• Knowledge of global compliance, product safety and quality regulations, including REACH and CPISA.

As a specialist in graphics and a member of the COE AR/VR/GFX, the candidate will be a SME responsible for providing global 3rd Level of Engineering support, covering on call shifts to act in case of an emergency, participating in the research and selection of new technologies, ensuring complete documentation is available to all COE participants, and providing level 2 support. **Your New Role.**
The Senior Specialist, English Audio Description Writer is a senior editorial authority responsible for authoring and overseeing English Audio Description (AD) scripts across a broad range of content types, including feature‑length films, scripted episodic television, unscripted programming, and complex or ad hoc accessibility projects.
This role applies advanced narrative judgment and editorial expertise to determine what visual information to describe, when to describe it, and how to balance clarity, tone, pacing, and creative intent. The Senior Audio Description Writer operates with a high degree of autonomy, owns complex deliverables end‑to‑end, and serves as a quality benchmark for Audio Description output across the team.
**Key Responsibilities.**
**OPERATION**
+ Author final‑quality English Audio Description scripts across feature‑length, episodic, unscripted, and ad hoc content.
+ Serve as primary editorial owner for assigned titles, making independent decisions regarding narrative prioritization, timing, tone, and descriptive scope.
+ Apply advanced judgment to balance creative intent, accessibility requirements, and technical constraints.
+ Own Audio Description delivery for high‑complexity or high‑visibility titles, including theatrical features.
+ Review Audio Description scripts written by mid‑level or junior writers and provide clear, structured editorial feedback.
+ Ensure consistency of Audio Description approach across features, seasons, or franchises.
+ Collaborate with Accessibility, Localization, and other partners on complex or cross‑functional initiatives.
+ Ensure all deliverables meet internal quality standards, platform requirements, and accessibility expectations.
+ Handle sensitive, confidential, and pre‑release content securely and appropriately.
**STANDARDS, MENTORSHIP, & DEVELOPMENT**
+ Act as a subject‑matter expert and quality benchmark for Audio Description.
+ Contribute to the development and refinement of Audio Description standards, guidelines, and workflows.
+ Support onboarding and skill development of less‑experienced writers.
+ Participate in evaluation of new tools or AI‑assisted accessibility workflows.
**ADMINISTRATIVE**
+ Participate in cross‑functional meetings related to accessibility strategy and delivery.
+ Support audits, training initiatives, and internal documentation efforts.
+ Represent senior Audio Description perspective in planning and review discussions.
**Qualifications & Experience.**
+ Strong professional experience in Audio Description, accessibility authoring, or equivalent scripted media roles.
+ Demonstrated experience delivering Audio Description for feature‑length content.
+ Proven ability to independently deliver final‑quality AD scripts for complex titles.
+ Exceptional written English skills and editorial judgment.
+ Strong understanding of long‑form storytelling and visual narrative.
+ Advanced attention to detail, pacing, and tone.

**Your New Role.**
The Video Newsdesk is the fuel that fires the furnaces of News telling at CNN.
The intern role demands the ability to multitask and create high-quality content for both digital and broadcast.
As well as coordinating our team of live reporters around the world, we work to source, bring in, check and factcheck video for all cnn platforms during our hours. we work on a follow-the-sun model the ability to react to, digest and cover proactively and deliver to deadline is key.
**Your Role Accountabilities.**
+ Looking for video to either break stories or accompany them
+ Requesting reporters
+ Reaching out to press offices for statements and sourcing video/ images.
+ Ensure reporters know about their upcoming live appearances and liaise with show producers to ensure these run smoothly.
+ Program video into stellar to be put online.
**Qualifications & Experience.**
+ Undergraduate or postgraduate journalism degree (not essential), vocational training and/or ability to illustrate a portfolio of work / content (eg: blogs, podcasts, YouTube Channel etc)
+ Working in team environments, ideally to strict deadlines
+ Ability to work quickly, managing time and multiple priorities effectively
+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills
+ Have a passion for international news
+ Be proactive and ready to throw themselves in to any task
+ At least one foreign language is a plus
**The Internship.**
+ Salary: £29 ,000 p/a (pro rata)
+ Contract Length: 6 months
+ Start Date: 1st September 2026
