You'll be responsible for delivering GCSE Maths, supporting students across the school, and leading the subject as a Maths Subject Lead.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Teaching Maths up to GCSE level in small class groups (max. 6 pupils)

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS / BEd / PGCE or equivalent
  • Proven experience of teaching Maths at GCSE level
  • Experience supporting SEN and/or disadvantaged learners
  • A compassionate, calm, and emotionally intelligent approach
  • Understanding of autism, trauma-informed practices, and behaviour as communication
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team

This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

The role: We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Bankside College school Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working. This will guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities, while taking into account the requirements of your governing and professional bodies. You will be given responsibility for holding a Speech and Language therapy caseload, with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, also contributing to staff training and consultation as required This post would suit a resilient, creative and enthusiastic individual. Essential Criteria: Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy HCPC registered 1-2 yrs experience as a fully registered member of the RCSLT working in a similar setting. As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Secondary Maths Teacher to join our close-knit team at Oakham Shires School, part of Options Autism.

You'll be responsible for delivering GCSE Maths, supporting students across the school, and leading the subject as a Maths Subject Lead.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of autistic pupils who have struggled in mainstream education and need a tailored, compassionate approach.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Teaching Maths up to GCSE level in small class groups (max. 6 pupils)
  • Supporting learners with autism and developmental trauma, helping close gaps in learning
  • Leading on the Maths curriculum and supporting cross-school development
  • Adapting lessons to meet a wide range of abilities and individual needs
  • Creating a calm, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Working with a team of passionate educators and therapists to help every child thrive

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS / BEd / PGCE or equivalent
  • Proven experience of teaching Maths at GCSE level
  • Experience supporting SEN and/or disadvantaged learners
  • A compassionate, calm, and emotionally intelligent approach
  • Understanding of autism, trauma-informed practices, and behaviour as communication
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team

This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
