Compass Associates is proud to be working in partnership with one of the UK’s leading providers of adult and children’s social care services. We are supporting their search for a Registered Manager to lead one of their residential homes in Llandeilo, which provides care for up to 18 adults with learning disabilities, including Autism, Down’s Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, Epilepsy, and Pica.

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for leading a well-established service, where some residents have lived for over 20 years and several staff members have worked just as long. You will play a key role in nurturing a culture of openness, transparency, and respect among the team, while embedding the organisation’s core values to ensure outstanding levels of care and support are consistently delivered to all service users.

Essential Criteria

• Current or previous registration with CIW.
• Possession of a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards achieving it.
• Demonstrated passion for workforce development.

Location

Situated on the outskirts of Llandeilo, this service provides convenient connections to Swansea, Carmarthen, and Llangadog.

Salary

We are offering a salary of £9,000 , along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

• A bonus scheme equivalent to 5% of your annual salary
• 25 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays

The Job

You will:

• Check the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
• Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
• Dealing with highly confidential information
• Liaise between the service user and service provider

Requirements

• Fluent in English and another language
• All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
• You must be aged 21 or over
• Formal qualifications such as:
  • Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
  • Community Interpreting
  • NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered is advantageous
  • Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
  • Any other interpreting related qualification
