• collect the deceased from a range of locations and scenarios in a professional and empathetic manner

• bear coffins on the day of the funeral and drive funeral vehicles

• maintain the cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles

• prepare coffins and engrave name plates

• prepare the deceased in our care for viewings and the funeral

• maintain client management applications daily, inputting detailed and timely information to keep records consistently updated

• safely lift, carry and move coffins following safe techniques, using handling aids and equipment and following health and safety guidance to prevent injuries

This role would suit people who have

• a full UK manual driving licence

• the ability to perform the physical aspects of the role (such as manual lifting). Appropriate training and equipment to ensure safe working practices will be provided.

Job Summary

To take ownership for the delivery of a first-class customer experience to all parties involved in the purchase of a new home from Taylor Wimpey. 

To ensure sales meet or exceed target and profit is maximized for the business.

Primary Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the development, all aspects of presentation and the entire purchase process. 
• Becomes the reference point for the purchaser, and all other internal and external interested parties from the first contact through to the completion of the house sale. 
• Promote and provide for the use of company-recommended mortgage brokers and solicitors to ensure an efficient service for the customer to achieve purchasing deadlines. 
• Ensure all administrative and reporting requirements are met according to company policies and agreed time frames. 
• Ensure that market research, price benchmarking, advertising, incentives, PR and other marketing events are undertaken proactively to provide the correct pipeline to fulfil agreed sales targets. 
• Proactively search for target customers and create appointments. Follow-up leads to ensure that sales targets are met and customer satisfaction is measured to the level required by Taylor Wimpey. 
• Undertake inspections and introduce the customer to their new home, ensure familiarization, and ensure the aftercare of those customers at defined intervals following their move-in date. 
• Ensure the health and safety of customers, colleagues and other parties while on site in accordance with legal requirements and company policy. 
• Follow and adhere to company (procedures, standards of performance, and the business unit Sales Manual. 

The role requires regular weekend and bank holiday working.

We’re looking for a Deputy Manager to join The Mead Children’s Home in Odiham , Hampshire—a place where you can become a role model and help shape brighter futures.

In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead and develop a nurturing, Ofsted-regulated home for up to four children aged 8–17 who may have experienced trauma. Guided by our Pillars of Parenting model of care, you’ll focus on each child’s unique strengths to support their growth and help them achieve positive outcomes.

You’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering trauma-informed therapeutic interventions within the Children’s Services framework. Whether supporting a child’s journey back to their family or helping them transition to independent living, your leadership will be key to creating a safe, stable, and empowering environment.

What you’ll do:

As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it operates in line with statutory requirements and national guidance for Children’s Homes. You’ll also contribute to the wider work of Hampshire County Council’s children’s residential services.

Working alongside a dedicated team of Team Supervisors, Children’s Home Support Workers, and a network of external professionals, you’ll help ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in our care. You’ll support their health needs, encourage engagement in education, and help them make meaningful progress against their individual care plans.
