We’re searching for an experienced Home Manager to take the helm of a 33-bed residential and respite service, commutable from Dumfries, that specialises in supporting older adults, including those living with dementia.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading from the front – inspiring, coaching, and developing your team to deliver consistently outstanding care.
• Driving operational performance – ensuring the home meets and exceeds regulatory standards, quality metrics, and occupancy goals.
• Owning compliance – maintaining excellent CQC standards and embedding governance into daily practice.
• Managing budgets and resources – balancing clinical quality with financial sustainability.
• Building relationships – with residents, families, your team, and external professionals — creating a home people are proud to be part of.
• Championing wellbeing and dignity – ensuring every resident receives person-centred care that enriches their life.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in an elderly care setting (residential, nursing, or dementia care).
• A deep understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and clinical governance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills — you inspire confidence and bring out the best in people.
• Commercial awareness — you know how to manage budgets, occupancy, and resources effectively.
• A current NMC registration (RGN/RMN) is preferred but not essential; outstanding non-clinical leaders will be considered.
• A genuine passion for improving lives — with the drive and discipline to make it happen every day.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Around 1-2 years’ PQE , ideally with experience managing your own caseload
• Background flexible in agricultural, commercial, and residential property work
• Some experience in private client matters (would be beneficial)
• Strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills
• Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
