• Lead Video Monitoring Initiatives: Direct strategic initiatives focused on defining and implementing monitoring requirements across operational domains, ensuring alignment with service reliability goals and operational excellence. Actively engage with operational teams to guide them in identifying key monitoring needs and supervise the development of scalable, integrated monitoring solutions.

• Innovate and Improve : Push the boundaries of current video monitoring by researching and integrating the latest monitoring solutions , and technological advancements to enhance operational efficiency and service excellence.
• Leverage Data for Monitoring Excellence: Champion a data-driven approach to monitoring by utilizing operational metrics, logs, telemetry, and analytics to identify trends, detect anomalies, and uncover optimization opportunities. Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to build intelligent dashboards, predictive models, and advanced alerting systems that enhance visibility, responsiveness, and the ability to anticipate incidents before they impact service quality.

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong bridges across diverse team functions. You'll play a key role in connecting strategy and analysis with data insights and platform operations, fostering alignment and shared ownership throughout the entire monitoring lifecycle -from requirement definition to solution design and implementation .
• Collaborate with Cross- Functional Teams : Work closely with the Product Team, Core Engineering Team, Video Engineering Team as well as with Architects to align monitoring capabilities with market needs and the overall product architecture , ensuring seamless integration and performance scalability .
• Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively , manage budgets for video monitoring projects , and oversee the monitoring engineering team to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget .

• Expertise in Systems reliability and monitoring: deep understanding of operational approaches, with a background in developing monitoring and observability solutions.

• Understanding of end-to-end video processing workflows, with a strong background in designing solutions for high-demand broadcast environments.

• Design and develop advanced monitoring solutions using platforms like Dataminer , Grafana , and custom integrations across broadcast and media infrastructures .

• Implement and maintain real- time monitoring and observability across broadcast and media systems , ensuring high availability and performance.

• Collaborate with cross- functional teams to define monitoring requirements and translate them into scalable , reusable and innovative technical solutions .

The role

What you’ll bring with you

• NMC/HCPC registration

• Surgical scrub experience within General, Gynae, Ophthalmic, Cosmetic and Urological surgery.

• Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) would be desirable, but not essential

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently

• Using internal and external data sources to perform analyses and make change recommendations.
• Have a detailed understanding of the insurance market and use a variety of different sources to help identify and describe changing behaviours.
• Undertake research to identify opportunities to improve customer journeys and rating by using new and innovative techniques.
• Work with our underwriters to grow Skys customer base and footprint.
• Help with the implementation of price changes and the monitoring of the impacts.
• Ensure control and governance processes are following and that adequate documentation is maintained.
• Work within a small focused Pricing team as part of the wider Sky Protect team.

• Proven years experience in the insurance industry in a pricing/ analytics role, preferably within household insurance.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages, preferably within GCP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to detail.
• Team player with strong collaboration and ability to manage multiple projects.
