Qualifications & Requirements
- A degree in English

As a Humanities Teacher, you will take a creative and structured approach to teaching your subject(s), planning lessons that meet each pupil’s individual learning needs and maximise achievement. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of a Key Stage 4 examination pathway, which will be implemented from September 2026—a key milestone in the school’s academic growth.
You will be supported by a committed senior leadership team and work collaboratively with other staff to deliver an engaging and progressive curriculum that develops pupils’ knowledge, skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality Humanities lessons that are tailored to pupils’ needs and aligned with the school curriculum
- Playing a central role in shaping and implementing the KS4 Humanities examination offer
- Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and emotional regulation
- Upholding the school’s safeguarding standards and professional expectations
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support pupils with SEMH and complex needs
- Taking a flexible, proactive approach to teaching and learning
Essential Criteria:
- QTS and qualifications and/or experience in Humanities (e.g. History, Geography, RE)
