The Monitoring Senior Software Developer plays a key role in designing , implementing , and maintaining advanced monitoring solutions across broadcast and media systems . Working within a cross- functional engineering team, this role focuses on developing scalable , reliable , and customizable monitoring tools , such as Dataminer and other platforms , to ensure high service availability and operational efficiency .
What you'll do:
- Design and develop advanced monitoring solutions using platforms like Dataminer , Grafana , and custom integrations across broadcast and media infrastructures .
- Implement and maintain real- time monitoring and observability across broadcast and media systems , ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross- functional teams to define monitoring requirements and translate them into scalable , reusable and innovative technical solutions .
- Integrate monitoring tools with CI/CD pipelines , infrastructure as code , and automation frameworks .
- Develop and maintain dashboards and alerting rules to support proactive incident detection and resolution.
- Apply DevOps and SRE principles to improve system reliability , reduce toil , and enhance operational workflows .
- Contribute to the evolution and the optimization of monitoring architectures , adopting modern development practices such as containerization , microservices , and API- first design.
- Participate in code reviews , technical discussions , and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
- Support the onboarding and customization of third-party monitoring solutions and external components , ensuring seamless integrati on with existing infrastructure .
- Play a key role in connecting strategy and analysis wit development and platform operations , fostering alignment and shared ownership throughout the entire monitoring lifec ycle -from requirement definition to solution design and implementation .
- Proven experience in developing and integrating monitoring solutions , ideally with tools like Dataminer , Grafana , or similar platforms .
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices , including CI/CD, infrastructure as code , versioning and automation.
- Expertise with DevOps and cloud -native tools .
- Familiarity with SRE principles , especially around observability , incident response , and reducing operational toil .
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as C# and Python .
- Experience working with APIs , telemetry systems , and data pipelines for metrics and logs .
- Ability to design and maintain custom dashboards , alerting logic , and monitoring workflows .
- Knowledge of containerized environments ( e.g ., Docker, Kubernetes ) and cloud -native architectures .
- Proven drive for continuous improvement and system reliability , excellent communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration and mentorship , and the strategic vision necessary to develop future -proof solutions .

This role is dedicated to managing the technical aspects of video and transmission workflow monitoring, ensuring that operations have the proper support in delivering our broadcast solutions at the highest quality across various platforms.

About the role
As Site Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in the Hellaby Site Leadership Team. You’ll work closely with the Plant Manager and wider Leadership Team to drive the site’s P&L, strengthen financial controls, deliver against key performance indicators and support colleague engagement.
Our Hellaby site is home to over 180 colleagues and generates turnover in excess of £91 million.

What will you be doing?
Leadership
Work as part of the Site Leadership Team to drive the site’s OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures) and G2G (Good to Great) target setting, tracking and delivery – ensuring alignment with KP and the wider Intersnack Group
Inspire and develop your team by living and breathing our Values and Behaviours, unlocking potential across the site
Line manage the Finance Accountant for both Hellaby and Pontefract sites
Intersnack Working Systems (IWS)
Be an active member of the Site Leadership Team, role-modelling servant leadership
Coach and support shop floor teams to embed IWS ways of working
Lead financial insight and challenge across cost centres, manufacturing and supply chain to identify constraints and unlock opportunities
Play a key role in the Supply Network pillar, building capability as a subject matter expert
Support the site’s Loss Analysis journey and help prioritise improvement projects
Functional and other responsibilities
Lead site financial planning, budgeting and forecasting – covering primes, overheads, logistics and capital
Collaborate with other KP Site Financial Controllers and central teams to share best practice and unlock value
Prepare and communicate weekly, monthly and annual financial reports and KPIs across the site
Manage site accruals, prepayments and inventory reconciliations
Oversee capital project approvals, investment appraisals and asset management
Support change programmes including new product launches and capital installations, tracking key metrics such as waste and energy
Maintain strong financial control across all functions, especially during period-end reporting
Complete product costings for new product development and tender processes
Lead year-end inventory processes and support external audit queries
Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline processes to ensure all activity adds value
Play a key role in the implementation of the new ERP system

You understand BOMs, variance analysis and inventory processes, and can translate data into meaningful insightPractical skills in Excel and ERP systems
You’re confident using advanced Excel functions and have experience with ERP platforms – Power BI is a bonusRelevant experience in food manufacturing or similar
You’ve worked in a fast-paced production environment and understand the challenges and opportunities it bringsBonus points for capital investment and audit experience
You’ve supported investment appraisals and external audits, and know how to manage financial controls with confidenceLeadership experience and coaching mindset
You’re comfortable leading others, coaching across levels and influencing change on the shop floor and beyond
CIMA, ACCA, ACA or CA qualified
You’re a fully qualified accountant with strong technical knowledge and commercial awarenessPlanning and budgeting experience
You’ve led financial planning processes and can manage complexity with confidenceExperience in manufacturing finance
You understand how operations and finance connect, and can drive performance through insight and collaborationWorking knowledge of ERP systems
You’re familiar with integrated systems and can support implementation and optimisation
