What you'll do
  • Develop and implement PAM policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitor PAM activities and alerts to detect potential security breaches or policy violations and take appropriate actions.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of the PAM system to identify and address any security gaps or vulnerabilities.
  • Work with auditors to and supply evidence as required.
  • Work with teams across different territories and areas of Sky, building relationships and improving Sky's privileged security baseline.
  • Be familiar designing and implementing closed loop credential management workflows.
  • Stay ahead of the security curve and make best practice recommendations to senior management (NIST, NCSC etc.)
  • Be able to work autonomously on complex projects, gathering key information and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Design, implement, and manage the PAM system to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data and systems.
  • Mentoring and support for other members of the Team.
What you'll bring
  • Be CyberArk certified to at least Defender level.
  • Strong recent experience with administrating and configuration of:
    • CyberArk
    • Azure AD
  • Solid understanding of Identity Governance and Administration platforms (preferably One Identity)
  • Expertise in cross platform scripting (Powershell, bash etc.).
  • Be a subject matter expert on both legacy and modern authentication protocols.
  • Have excellent security awareness including standards e.g., IS , NIST and CIS.
  • Have a good understanding of Web APIs including SOAP, REST and GraphQL architectures.
  • Have experience with threat modelling methodologies e.g., STRIDE.
  • Have a good understanding of Access Controls and Identity Lifecycle management.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills.

Overview of the role
We are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer with a strong background in delivering major infrastructure projects, detailed design, and working collaboratively with clients and contractors. A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and decision-making is essential for the role. You will join our Dams and Reservoirs team, contributing to the delivery of high-profile projects across the UK and internationally. This role offers the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary design teams, engage directly with clients and contractors, and shape the future of water infrastructure.

Key responsibilities and duties include:
  • Leading the detailed design of complex civil engineering works, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standards, harnessing our existing expertise in geotechnical engineering, hydraulic structures, risk assessment and collaborating with our specialists in hydrology, hydropower, water transfers, environment, planning and beyond

The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Principal Mechanical Engineer who is looking to rise to the challenge of acting as a technical discipline lead in the data centre sector and becoming a permanent member of our friendly, supportive and creative Building Engineering Team.

As an integral member of our multi-disciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for the mechanical design packages and overall mechanical discipline and will be expected to take them from initial brief through scheme & detail design to installation and commissioning support. This role will harness your core data centre skills and experience to provide technical guidance on discipline-specific data centre projects, as well as mentoring and developing junior colleagues.

  • Presenting technical material for review by technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contributing to conceptual design studies and reports for your discipline and package 
  • Enthusiastically developing and mentoring junior team members in their career development, including technical and soft skills
