What you’ll be doing:

• Analysis and Design of complex steel structures utilising Eurocodes, British Standards and BAE standards, to support submarine build

The Specialist Structures Department team:

As a Principal Engineer, you will be working with a dual function team (design and engineers) consisting of 14 people at various seniority levels. The team is responsible for engineering assessments of the designs in support of build. The Radiation Physics & Shielding team:

Our team is responsible for the design and validation of radiation shielding for the UK’s nuclear powered submarine fleet. Your skills and experiences:

• HNC/HND or equivalent in related discipline or STEM subject
• Experience with combat systems
• Knowledge of safety controls & procedures in a high-risk environment
• Demonstrable experience of Instrumentation Systems including Electrostatic Discharge, Low Voltage Control , Data Communications & Fibre Optics

The Test & Commissioning Team

You will be part of a team responsible for commissioning the first of class Combat System and Tactical Weapons System on the next generation of Dreadnought submarines, working on equipment that is at the forefront of technology and the enhancement of already used systems. You will be surrounded by colleagues at different levels, who are available to provide support to ensure you are set up for success in your new role with us. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
