A bit about the job:

Your responsibilities include providing a customer-focused and cost-effective service by visiting household claims customers. In collaboration with the Home Project Manager team, it's essential to gather and provide site information to manage claims to completion. The role involves visiting customers to assess liability, build work scopes, draw floorplan, validate claims against policy cover, agree settlements, and determine the best management route for the claim. Responsibilities also include recording evidence, appointing suppliers, making liability decisions, and creating initial reserves using claims scoping software, sometimes working out of the area to support major incidents. The position demands self-motivation, managing personal appointments, and may involve travel across the UK with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Exceptional empathy and communication skills: adept at gathering evidence, delivering difficult news with sensitivity, and maintaining strong client relations.
  • In-depth expertise in the Residential (Home) property insurance sector, ensuring accurate assessments and tailored solutions.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in building pathology and best practices, enabling precise evaluations and recommendations.
  • Proficient in claims scoping and management software (Symbility, Exactaware, etc.), with hands-on experience using tablet technology on-site.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Flood, Escape of Water (EOW), and Fire damage management, alongside health and safety regulations and industry-specific legislation.

We are looking for a qualified plumber to join our Wiltshire team on a permanent basis.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be using your skills and experience to complete plumbing repair works in our properties across Wiltshire, supporting the team to find a first-fix solution at every opportunity. 

You’ll be working in our customer’s homes and sometimes in void properties, so you’ll have a customer service focus with an inquisitive mind to get to the bottom of the problems. You’ll predominantly work alone but there is always someone on hand to support you where required. 

Your tasks could include –

  • Installation of new or extension of existing domestic hot water systems
  • Plumbing works associates with kitchens, bathrooms including over bath showers and shower trays
  • Liaising with merchants to obtain the correct materials
  • Following construction drawings
  • Communicating with our customers, keeping them informed of works outstanding


About you

You’ll have a plumbing qualification, NVQ or equivalent or demonstrable time-served experience working in a plumbing role. You’ll be able to identify causes and specify materials required to rectify plumbing issues.

You’ll be working in a team of operatives, delivering excellent customer service working together to improve our customers homes. Teamwork and collaboration are essential to get the job done.

You’ll be working in our communities, so being happy to communicate with both customers and colleagues will be really important.  You’ll take pride in your customer service and endeavour to first fix at every opportunity.

We will supply a company vehicle to get you around, so you’ll need a full, UK driving licence. You’ll need to be willing and able to take part in an out of hours rota. You’ll also be willing and able to comply with facefit regulations.

Are you an experienced Multi Trade Operative, carpentry and plumbing, with extra skills such as tiling and plaster?  Our Wiltshire team is looking for the right person to join their Response team.

What you’ll be doing

You’ve probably guessed, and you’re right, you’ll be completing carpentry and plumbing responsive repair works in our customers homes in the Wiltshire region. We’ll also call on your knowledge and experience to support the team with other skills Internally, you’ll be known as a carpenter level 2 or plumber level 2 depending on your main skillset.

You’ll be working in our customer’s homes, so you’ll have a customer service focus wanting to do a great job every time. 

No two days are the same. You’ll carry out a number of jobs in a day with your work shared with you via your handheld device, your PDA. Primarily you’ll work alone but you’ll be part of the wider responsive repairs & voids team so there’s always someone at the end of the phone to support you.

About you

You’ll have a carpentry or plumbing qualification, NVQ or equivalent. You’ll be able to identify causes and specify materials required to rectify carpentry issues. You will also have additional skills such as being able to tile and plaster.

You’ll need to be a confident user of IT, your work is shared via an iPad and you’ll need to control & manage your van stock electronically.

You’ll be working with a variety of teams and communicating with them regularly, so you’ll be confident in managing expectations of both internal and external customers. As you’ll be in customers homes daily, you’ll understand the importance of delivering a great customer service and will endeavour to first fix at every opportunity.

We will supply a company vehicle to get you around, so you’ll need a full, UK manual driving licence. You’ll work in the Wiltshire area but may be required on occasion to support our other regional teams.

You’ll have a flexible approach to work and will be willing & able to take part in our out of hours rota. You’ll also be willing and able to comply with facefit regulations.
