Sales Advisor - Bideford - Plumb Centre

This role is a 6-month fixed term contract.

As a Sales Advisor based in our Bideford branch you’ll be responsible for:  

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.

• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.

• Booking stock in and putting it away in the designated location.

• Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch growth, particularly focusing on those with reduced or inactive spending.

This is a fixed term contract for 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday from 8am - 5pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays from 8am - 12pm (paid as overtime).

• Prior customer service or sales experience.

• Willingness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.

• Confidence in engaging with customers both face-to-face and over the phone.

• A confident, proactive approach to sales—promoting products, quoting accurately, and building customer relationships over the phone.

• Processing company expenses, ensuring authorisation is obtained

• Raising purchase orders and completing due diligence checks
• Setting up new suppliers and subcontractors

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar purchase ledger or accounts payable role
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• A proactive team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude

• Minimum 1 year PQE  in private client work
• Ability to handle a caseload independently
• Client-focused, proactive and personable approach
