We’re looking for experienced Life Claims Assessors to join our brilliant team.
We settle 98.3% of all individual protection policies and paid over £1 billion in claims last year – and we’d love your help to keep that going.
A bit about the job
You’ll assess life, terminal illness and critical illness claims – from investigation to outcome – while supporting customers with empathy, including delivering difficult news sensitively.
From start to finish, you’ll guide customers through their claims journey with care and clarity, and refer complex cases to specialists when needed.
You’ll manage a portfolio of claims across multiple systems, suggest improvements, and adapt to new technologies. Communication is key, when working with brokers and third parties, as well as customers.
You’ll also be a key contact for technical queries and help coach others. This role is all about delivering great service and making a real difference.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
Experience assessing life-related products (e.g., life insurance, terminal illness, critical illness, income protection).
Knowledge of legal aspects like probate and CIDRA rules.
Experience managing claims end-to-end, including signing out claim’s decisions independently.
Strong communication skills, including supporting vulnerable customers, with customer-first mindset with great attention to detail.
Confidence in making decisions and adapting quickly to change.

Duties
· Work at the customer site as part of the PCS project installation team and complete the electrical tasks assigned by the PCS Project Leader/Supervisor.
· Be diligent in observing all site rules and H&S regulations and, if in doubt, be confident enough to stop and seek advice from the PCS Supervisor.
· Installing, glanding and terminating a wide range of multi-core cables (XPLE/SWA) as well as fabrication and installation of ladder, tray and basket containment.
· Installing control equipment, MCCs, isolators, distribution boards, e-stops, various instrumentation (rotation sensors, level sensors etc.) and industrial single-phase and 3-phase Star and Delta motors
Qualifications & Experience
· ECS registered and fully quailed, including AM2
· BS th or 17th edition Wiring Regulations qualified
· UK Driving Licence
· Background in Aggregates, Cement, Mining, Rail, Water or other heavy industry
Package
· Pay: £20.31/ hour + overtime rates at x1.5, x2 or x3
· Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri + overtime available
· Holidays: 24 days annual leave + 8 statutory

About the Role:

We are searching for a talented professional to join our team in a pivotal hybrid position. This is a hands-on, on-site role at our Hindlow facility, where you'll be an integral part of our daily operations. Occasional travel for customer trials (which may include overnight stays) will be a component, supported by a company car allowance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the setup, operation, and monitoring of test rigs at customer locations, ensuring optimal performance of our products.
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support during customer trials.
- Identify and implement process optimization opportunities within our Hindlow plant operations.
- Collaborate effectively with commercial, production, and maintenance teams.
- Continuously learn and develop deep knowledge of our products and their applications.
We're Looking For:
- A keen graduate with an academic background in Chemical Engineering (highly desirable) or a related engineering discipline.
- Alternatively, individuals with 1-3 years of hands-on experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting, even without a degree, will be considered if they demonstrate strong technical aptitude.
- An adaptable, proactive, and personable individual with excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- A strong willingness and ability to learn new processes, products, and technical concepts quickly.
- Prepared for a hands-on, plant-based role requiring daily on-site presence.
