To deliver efficient, professional secretarial/administration support to the Technical, Planning and Land Department.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Diary management for the Technical and Land Director. 
  • Typing, copying and distributing correspondence, minutes and reports

Job Summary

The Customer Relations Manager acts as the key point of contact for customers as they move through the Taylor Wimpey Customer Journey from the point they are introduced to their finished home prior to legal completion until they have settled into their new home (typically 8-weeks). They will be responsible for ensuring that the homes handed over to customers meet the Taylor Wimpey Consistent Quality Standards and are “customer-ready” and working with Sales and the Site team to ensure customers legally complete in the timeframes expected. They are also responsible for carrying out quality Home Demonstrations and all aftercare events in a timely and quality way, keeping customers informed on the progress of any issues they raise and working in partnership with the Site team to resolve these as quickly as possible.
The Customer Relations Manager should be conversant in using the technology provided to carry out their role and be adherent to the relevant processes and procedures, including all health and safety regulations and protocols.

  • Demonstrates a solution focused approach to ensure SLA’s are achieved and conflicting priorities are managed well
  • Works independently and in an organized and well-planned manner to resolve issues, tasks and complaints within the required SLA
  • Looks for solutions when blockers to remedying customer issues arise and ensures the Customer Director is made aware when issues cannot be resolved within SLA
  • Ensures issues have quality notes for reference so there is an accurate record of all customer interactions
  • Builds relationships with other functions and works collaboratively with them to resolve customer issues
  • Builds relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they understand our expectations of their customer commitments and provide feedback where appropriate to ensure continuous improvement of our service offering

  • Produce detailed roads and sewers, show area and enabling works programme.  
  • Evaluate the accuracy of relevant information for development, technical and sales departments and external agencies if applicable.  
  • Determine plant, equipment, and personnel requirements in conjunction with the technical departments.  
  • Assess material delivery times in relation to the build programme requirements and pass them to the technical department.  
  • Develop a specific build programme for the show area complex to meet the accelerated build programme.  

Monitoring and reporting  

  • Completion of weekly management reports detailing progress against planned objectives and action taken to recover lost time.  
  • Produce, in conjunction with the Production Director, and monitor progress against the site build programme.  

Health and Safety  

  • Assist the development department in the production of the pre-start health and safety plan and update and develop as the site proceeds.  
  • Ensure all site personnel comply with the Construction Health & Safety Regulations 1974 as amended together with the Taylor Wimpey Health and Safety procedure manual.  
  • Ensure all operatives have the necessary certification/license to carry out the duties they are required to perform.  
  • Carry out frequent inspections of all operations to ensure they are carried out in a safe manner.  
  • Ensure all operatives are working to the method statements and risk assessments submitted by the relevant sub-contractor or Taylor Wimpey Management.  
  • Check and monitor all sub-contractors site-specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments and COSHH reports.  

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements

  • Detailed building and construction experience 
  • NVQ Residential Construction Site Management L6 
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation 
  • Cost controls (working to site budgets) 
  • Trade background 
  • CSCS card – Site Management 
  • First Aid qualified

What You'll Be Doing

To support the delivery of the site complaints and microbiological systems and to deliver the required information and reports in relation to them

  • Collate and report on compliance with the complaints and microbiological systems to ensure that these manufacturing unit processes are always audit ready

  • Troubleshoot the data capture system performance on a day-today basis and write/introduce new procedures as required to ensure that there is no break in data records and data integrity is always maintained

  • Allocate each customer complaint to the appropriate person for action and track its progress through the process to ensure that complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and in accordance with the procedures

  • Collate, analyse and present technical reports or answers to ad hoc questions to provide internal and external stakeholders with the appropriate level and frequency of information required to deliver their objectives

  • Actively manage the technical databases, both day to day and ongoing developments, to ensure data accuracy, ability to deliver reporting requirements and forward planning to update in line with operational or technical requirements

  • Update all raw material information systems to ensure that the latest information is available to anyone who interrogates the system

  • Attend established business networks across the Business Team, internal forums and customer meetings to share the requested results and analysis

  • Maintain Greencore and customer central key performance indicators to ensure that reporting requirements are compliant with the appropriate protocols and support in the preparation for and the delivery of such information during technical audits

* Knowledge and experience of statistical process control techniques

* Demonstrates high-level written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in chilled food manufacturing would be an advantage but is not essential
