I’m looking for experienced Supervisors and Technicians to join a major rotary programme.
 
If you're an experienced aircraft Supervisor or Technician, ideally with experience on Chinook or Apache aircrafts, I'm looking to speak to you for the roles below-
 
Roles Available (all-in rates):
 
5 x Mechanical Supervisors – £44/hr
2 x Avionic Supervisors – £4/hr
10 x Mechanical Technicians – £4 hr
3 x Avionic Technicians – £4 hr
 
Shift Patterns (role dependent):
 
Chinook: 5-day week, early Friday finish (12:30).
Apache OCU: Mon–Fri, 24hr shifts.
Apache Phase: 4-day week (Mon–Thurs).
 
Contract Length:
6 months initially, with a high likelihood of being extended
 
Requirements:
 
Apache or Chinook experience is ideal.
Other types of experience on helicopters/military aircraft will also be considered.
BPSS + SC clearance (or eligibility).
Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
 
Strong rates with completion bonus included.
Based at Middle Wallop.

The successful candidate will become part of a large, multidisciplinary SMS team comprising approximately 20 experienced professionals in the deployment and sustainment of the SMS within the Boeing Defence UK Chinook Programme.
The successful candidate will lead the SMS within the UK Chinook Programme and will be responsible for ensuring an effective SMS is maintained in this crucial UK MoD programme.
**The role has the following key responsibilities:**
Lead the Safety Management Systems for the Boeing UK Chinook Programme.
+ Lead the Safety Risk Management strategy for the Programme to effectively derive hazards and risks.
+ Lead the facilitation of Hazard Identification working groups to create, review and mature BowTies.
+ Sustain a Positive Safety Culture
Lead the management of all Chinook safety occurrence reports and investigations ensuring the quality and completeness of all reports.
+ Perform Safety Investigations in response to the triaging of safety reports.
+ Interface with both internal and external key stakeholders in the processing and managing safety reports and issues.
+ Lead Safety Promotion activities in support of the Programme. Manage the SMS meetings schedule for the Programme ensuring effective audit trail and management of actions and deadlines. Creation and maintenance of SMS documentation relating to the Chinook Programme SMS. Establish and maintain SMS interface with the MoD Air Safety Teams and key Suppliers to the Programme. Delivery of SMS training as required to support compliance with regulation and BDUK procedures.
Travel within the UK is expected and some overseas travel may be required.
**Essential competencies, experience and qualities:**
+ Formal Safety Management Systems training and experience and significant experience in aviation maintenance and/ or engineering.
+ Training in Safety Risk Management and experience in utilising BowTie methodology.
+ Experience and understanding of military aviation regulations and their application.
+ Qualified Safety Investigator with experience in conducting and leading safety investigations over several years.
+ A sound understanding of Just Culture principles and their application.
+ Experience in managing large volumes of safety reports using military or civil reporting tools and processes.
+ Experience in working across multiple functions and levels to build relationships and understanding to build trust and a positive safety culture.
+ The candidate should possess strong communication and organisational skills and demonstrate the ability to use common IT and project management concepts/tools.
+ The role will have significant UK MoD customers, supplier and wider Boeing interfaces and, therefore, a person who possesses good interpersonal skills balanced with diplomacy and resolve is essential.
**Desirable competencies:**
+ Qualified and experienced Human Factors trainer.
+ Experience using the MoD's ASIMS tool for in-service occurrence monitoring and trending or a civil equivalent system.
+ Experience in data analytics.

We are looking for an Intern to support the **Flight Test & Evaluation** team in the **Salisbury, UK** area. Boeing Test & Evaluation conducts the maintenance and trials flying of Chinook, Apache and E7 aircraft from several locations in the UK. The team consists of pilots and aircrew working alongside flight test engineers to deliver test programmes in support of UK capability. This internship is at the heart of the flying organisation supporting the Chief Test Pilot and his team. The successful candidate will gain insight into the operation of the BDUK flying organisation and visibility of all of the ongoing test programmes underneath it, as well as having input to the various Regulatory and Safety processes required to conduct flying activities.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Support the Chief Test Pilot and BT&E UK Leadership Team with the day to day running of the flying/test organisation.
+ Support to the Flight Test Operations team in the execution/delivery of any ongoing flight trials
+ Conduct of internal Audits - developing system for tracking, conduct and reporting of internal audits in order to output Quality metrics and support Air Safety judgement
+ Maintain the drumbeat of team meetings alongside the tracking of team decisions and actions using the Centrik tool
+ Maintain the team processes, templates, org structure and list of Responsibilities, Authorities and Accountabilities

The role of the Technician position will form part of a Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) organisation within BDUK, working as part of a team in support of our key programmes. The individual will be responsible for ensuring established process adherence, accurate and timely work recording and contractual/regulatory compliance.
**Responsibilities**
+ Reporting to a Supervisor, this role primarily conducts assigned maintenance tasks. Must be capable of understanding, interpreting and implementing technical information and ensuring that work/tasks completed have been carried out in accordance with the Approved Technical Data and correctly certified in line with their authorisations.
+ The role ideally requires technical skills and knowledge of maintenance practices and techniques. Will be responsible for executing aircraft maintenance activities to meet individual schedule milestones, controlling and sequencing individual workloads and ensuring acceptable work standards, first time quality and performance measures are met.
+ Deliver aircraft maintenance under Boeing's own MAA MRP Part 145 approval or under the approval of the MOD customer.
+ Assembly, disassembly, modification or repair of aircraft systems/structures/electronics/components. Upgrading aerospace components to correct failures or implement changes.
+ Perform routine troubleshooting of complex aircraft systems, such as pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical/electronic to isolate faults and repair faulty components IAW technical information published in authorised maintenance documents.
+ Be flexible with work locations and work times to ensure aircraft are delivered on time to the customer.
+ Provide advice, guidance and mentoring to peers and others appropriate to their role.
+ Exercise, or work under appropriate supervision for the role.
+ Mitigate immediate risks including 'stop work' as well as escalate emerging risks, issues and shortfalls in a timely manner.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement workshops and projects as required.
+ Where directed, exercise 100% oversight of work carried out by Boeing Apprentices or Trainees as well as Apprentice/Trainee mentoring.
+ Contribute positively to our open and honest reporting culture.
**Preferred Skills**
+ The role requires an individual with good communication skills, with the ability to distribute and sequence technical work requirements to their team, controlling demanding workloads, whilst delivering to a high standard, and maintaining schedule.
+ You will have an understanding of interpreting technical documents, drawings and associated publications.
+ You will ideally possess a working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) and the application of these requirements within their area of responsibility, accountability and authority (RAA).
